sorry yes i was refering to the damage done by the dot the damage over time ( the bleed )was lowered and the intial strike damage was incresed

Wierd - that doesn't bother me at all.
It doesn't bother me one bit that thier attacks get more powerful as they progress and our don't because fencers arn't musclesmen.
It doesn't bother me one bit that they have a higher DPS than we do because we shouldn't be high damage dealers.
It doesn't bother me one bit we don't have AP because the for the weapons we have it doesn't make sense to.
What does bother me is that I don't want to be Heavy swordsman in fencers clothing, a TKA in fencers clothing or a Polearms character that acts like a fencer. I want to play as a fencer. Atm all the Melee combat classes are practically the same and arguing the way you just have this isn't going to change. No Melee combat class should be comparable they should all be different.
Our attacks not getting more powerful as we level shouldn't bother us but we should revel in the fact that we are hard to hit and can live without the restricting armour. The only complaint I have is that when buffed this doesn't shine through to us.
DPS shouldn't matter to us for example. What matters is our speed should let us get several status attacks off on the opponent before they get many attacks off for example.
What I'd like to see is:
1) a greater variety of status attacks(some race dependent ones as well)
2) Changing buffing to reflecthow stats are primarily based and giving advantages/disadvantages based on that.
As it statnds from my view is that the Dev's haven't nerfed anything (now before you flame hang on a second) this is all part of the Combat Rebalance issue. I know how staggering this bleed change is to everyone but we will not see the full effects untill the combat pass is fully complete. I know alot use bleeds however i personally don't just incase i forget to pull out a fishak, muon, blue milk, or some other substance for mind (yes i still have fishak) as when you bleed they continually agro you. If i get incapped (god forbid) i like to have the chance to run away after i get up.
I believe that i read that the issues that will be covered in the combat pass (at least that affect us) will be to change the speed caps, fix HAM costs, and not make the mind such a voulnerable bar when in combat. Once these affects come into place i feel that we will see the Fencer class take off in a whole new direction.
Untill we see the next patch we can huff and puff all we want about the bleed dmg but it will not affect the current situation and only cause us to focus on more negatives.
I agree with most of the Masters that have posted above.... Bleed does not affect me much at all. Sure i'll throw in one for good measure every now and then on High End mobs, but thats about it. I'm kind of on the Nuetral line of DPS: of course i'd like to see more, but not entirely sure that fits with our role as fencers. I think the thing that sets us apart is our defence. I was fighting Janta Rockshapers on dantooine the other night and a Swordsman came up and was fighting one a little ways away from me. He got his azz handed to him pretty quickly, and I finished mine, then his. Of course it took me 5 minutes or so (without buffs/ and or Crack). Point is, all that extra DPS he had over me didnt do him a bit of good, but my defenses made me able to last thru 2 fights while he couldnt survive the first. I think the Profession is doing good overall, and have no complaints EXCEPT for the cheesy weapons. Hell, Fencers shouldnt be using a damn stick, or a baton to fight with. I think i'd have to agree that we need some kind of rapier. I'd say foil also, but then Kali would hate me for life! ![]()
