You should all keep in mind that there is a new emphasis on ranged combat now.

Fencers are more of a hit and run prof tho. altho i don't understand why fencers should have to run. Just quick footwork should keep them out of range of the other attacks if it's melee. They go in for a few hits, back out and wait for another opening in the persons defense before going in. The defense should be weak but they should be fast and accurate. What I don't understand is what will Fencers do in groups?
Was Fencer for over 7 month and just recently gave it up to go play ranged since i was pure melee for the last year and half but no matter how hard I try, i keep coming back to this proffesion cause I love it.

Yes hit and run tactics, considering bleeds don't count towards exp, fencers get no terrain negotiation or burst run or any movement abilities. I fail to see how anything in the CURB allows for this role, that I have tested at least. Still feel the devs blotched up a great professions, and the game in general, this level system is the worst thing ever to accompnay SWG, the CURB still will allow template stacking to be superior to master elites, healing is completely unimmersive now, best weapon spamming the best attack will still be common, and the sounds in combat are terrible and compeltely unstarwarsy.
But dmg per weapon seems to be balanced, and the armor seems to be balanced.

It sounds to me like we'll be more like combat medic/doc which requires you to stick and move. The main difference being we have to get up close. I think it'll be fun really. As a fencer doc I did a ton of moving around in large pvp battles curing poisons, fires, etc, and not really fighting. NowI'm gonna be able to stick a bleed on someone while I'm helping others.

i feel that fencer shouls be more like BH 4-4-1, seems to make sense.... a master of one vs one combat...

That's when you start using your REAL skill as a Fencer for those who toss Intim 1 or 2...or throw Warcry 1 or 2 on your opponent to counteract. Can't believe so few folks don't even know about that.

you want to play real defense
get doc 4030
and use
/ui action clear combatqueu
/healstate self
keep all the states off of you and apply them to your non doc opponent and wear them out
