Thread: Warcry Nerf
I wonder, how to use the new warcry after the change.
If I target an enemy I will auto attack him every time, so I will immediately break the warcry effect again.

Ok, so you warcry your "one" thing.... as soon as you hit it the warcry goes away. All you get with warcry is firstattack ability if you get it off first. And since our accuracy sucks, chances are you'll probably miss with your first attack. lol
I dont see why anyone would want warcry2 when warcry1 is basically worthless now.
no no no... the way this will work is like mez/sleep in eq. IE if you ee a few enemies.. you warcry them.. they won't attack untill attacked themselves. This is mez. I just hope is a 20m total AE effect, rather than a cone effect. Then i can see it being useful, since the mobs surround you when you attack them. In pvp this will hurt killing that solo tka.

Agreed if it remains Cone effect it will be almost worthless, while a AE will be more effective. Another problem, which im sure all of you know is that you cannot open combat with warcry 1 or 2 ( similar to the way lunge 1 and 2 used to work )
That poses a problem withpack MOB's as if you attack one they would aggro you makeing it unable to use the warcry since you had to attack first to even try for the warcry.
I think we're gonna need to see how this plays out on TC and then see if we can try to get something worked out here. Personally this is a big nerf for my character, but I try not to look at these things that way.
I'm still thinking about this, I really had no idea anything like this was happening. I'll let ya guys know if/when I find anything out.

A lot of players leaned heavily on Master Brawler to provide tanking abilities to make up for the lackings in their elite prof. Melee/ranged defense, counterattack, CoB, these things just don't work against high-end content. Warcry provided a big crutch for allowing a lot of players to still function as tanks against the big stuff. Last night I got up to go lead an Axkva Min raid and warcry was absolutely invaluable there and the best "tanking" ability anyone had to bring to bear.
I have to see this in action first. But after that I think that this is the point to be made. If warcry goes out as it was then we need significant improvements to our abilities to tank the big guys. That's where warcry was effective and needed and that's where it will be ineffectual now, as most high-end conflicts are against one target.
Anyway, that's just my thoughts -- keep the discussion going.

that aside, i think they are just doing this to eliminate the means by which mhs/mb and mp/mb have been taking out high level mobs. i, for one, have never taken a krayt. the only time i tried was when i was trying to get the scythe certification.
maybe i missed it but are they going to nerf panic shot as well?
