stun batons arnt much anymore with psgs and stun composite... really hate SOE for making armor so powerful, ruined the game... Fencer do crap damage, simple as that... stun is our only saving grace in that area, defenses mean nothing against headshot3 and CM poison...
I dont think its armor that is overpowered, not at all.Armor would be fine, its buffs that are overpowered - namely secondary stat buffs - because they remove the consequence for wearing armor entirely (encumberance). I know it seems like a 'what came first, the chicken or the egg' type argument, but if you think about it if we weren't able to buff our secondaries to the 3000 range with doc buffs then high protection armors would carry with them heavy consequences. Secondaries would still be buffable by foods such as won-won, kiwik, spices, etc but only in a limited way. Its bull$h!t that someone can wear a suit of comp with 800 encumberance yet still spam specials with 0 HAM costs because their secondaries are >1500.
All of a sudden, without secondary buffs, armor would carry heavy consequences. Should i don that suit of ubese? It will protect me from 70+% damage, but I wont be able to spam specials indiscriminately. Do i want a suit of 80% base comp? Then I'm going to have to consider what foods I use, and give up some food effects for ones that raise my secondaries. My special use will also be highly limited, yet I will be highly protected. Or will I go unarmored, with primary stat buffs and secondaries buffed by foods and spice, and be able to spam specials like theres no tomorrow.
Then there would be a tradeoff, for all classes, between defense and offense, and encumberance would actually have meaning. The way it stands is complete BS, that you can get buffed by a master doc, put on a suit of 80-90% composite, and solo any creature or group of creaturesin the game -- including krayts, NS elders, ancient bull rancors, etc etc.

The difference is that a Stun Baton Discharges a High Voltage Charge at low Amperage causeing violent muscle contraction and blocking communication from the Nervous System to the muscle group.
That is what Stun Damage represents... Nervous System Shock.
ElectricalWeapons use High Amperage High Voltage discharges to cause what would ostensibly be Heat damage combined withthe disruption of nervous system communication.
In other words Stun damage targets local nervous system extremities, while Electrical targets the whole system.
It's far more complicated than it needs to be for varieties sake.
In a word I would support being able to insert a weapon core that could change the stun baton to Electrical damage, but the base stun baton is just that... a Stun weapon.
