As much as i hate the look of it, i prefer stun baton over a ryyk, gad baton or curved sword, or any other one handed weapon. 300 max on a gaffi, does i dunno, about100 damage to a 75% kinetic armored person. Thats with a special, and some person who actually understands math can go figure what mitigation will do to that. The most stun defense in a piece of armor i've ever seen is 27%. My stun baton is 258-240 (I have to report it now because the min is higher than max!! *edit* that.) and i do around 200-400 damage to most people wearing armor, and most people don't even have stun defense anyway so....Thats using scatter2.

In my opinion stun baton's the best, although if i find an enemy with 40% to stun and 0% to kinetic i'll pop out my gaffi.
