Thread: A Master Fencers thoughts about dueling/PvP
I am a fencer and am part of the top PvP guild on bloodfin and have seen many of the top players fight. Currently a fencer can "own" any noobie player (by this i mean anybody not using synthsteak (out of game and cant remember how to spell it) a full stun suit and Imperial PSG's) the problem that fencers have is when they come face to face with a) a well prepared player b) another fencer.
For (a) you have to basically just spam scatterhit2 (yes i know, boring) with your acklay stun baton till they fall. For situation (b) its when it goes onto a different level. You may as well put your stun baton into storage as you are not going to use it. The only thing you can do is bring out the dot weapons. A good tactic is too have several mind poison/mind fire weapons on a macro to switch between them and just stack the dots. Of course everyone has doc in their template so those dots arn't going to last long but you can always try using a manual approach that’s gets around peoples auto heal macros. You hit them with your knife and then as soon as it sticks you hit them with a dizzy (or another state) when the macro heals it'll remove the dizzy but your dot will stay and tick. This is just my two cents on how to pvp and I hope some people find it useful.
fencer no dot weapons ?
- Stone knives ( dant janta/mokk/... missions and caves )
- Janta knives ( same)
- graf batons( tusken fort)
- jabba reward knive ( jabs)
fencer job in pvp
- fencer uses intim , cob & blind to make the high damage user who hase bad mods on his weapons to not hit u and take him down slowly
stun baton no good ?
- try to use a stun baton with HIGH min damage wich isn't scruwed by dam mitigration , their are some 300/300 looted stun batons out their wich are looted from ... ( they don't want to tell me so i don't know myselve

Good point about having a high min damage.
I was told and I don't know how much truth is in this but one of the good fencers on my server sadi to me when telling him I had a 415 max stun baton he said that good but get a stun b aton with a high min doesn't have to have ahigh max as when fighting melee use you high min baton when fighting ranged use you 415 stun baton. I don't understand this I don't know if it is a think to do with min damage/melee class and vise versa or that has anyone else heard about this?
I gotta put my 2cents in here. Im Master Fencer/Master Smuggler/0044Pistol and i must say i am a bad mofo in the pvp arena. The only thing that can take me down is a CM. Some might be thinking "well you have an uber baton and since your pistol you have a geo." yes i have a geo but im not good enough with it to use it in PvP,its mainly for them kiters. and NO i dont have an uber ackaly baton. mine is 1.5 and around 200max dmg with powerup.I agree we could use another Ap1 wep but other than that it comes down to one thing...TACTICS.

what the **edit** are you talking about, im a master and i have a DoT gaffi, decent damage and it does a 169 health poison a tick, 6k uses left 62% potency, ticks for 2 min. that plus scatter hit 2 = pwns
