Thread: Where are people getting the poison and mind fire weapons??
the last rebel theme park mission (one on Yavin) gives out a really good DOT vibroblade.
its a poison base, and very nice since the stats on it are a constant rather then random.
its called Jagged Edged Vibroblade if i remeber correctly, or something like that. people often auction them on their server trade forums for not too much cash, after all there are plenty non-fencers doing the missions out there.
I've foundseveral good DOT weapons on the bazaar. Every couple weeks if I'm killing time at an outpost, I'll do a search on both "1-handed weapons" and "melee weapons" at the bazaar. I'll search on the Entire Galaxy even if I'm at Endor or Dathomir, or wherever.
I found a pretty good fire DOT gaderiffi this way, I wonder how many decent weapons get lost because people look at the min/max damage and just junk them. The loot table is mostly junk, but I'm sure some nice things have been deleted.
As for the Erran Sif base, I've only passed through there four or five times in the past. Their loot does seem to lean toward weapons. The selection of weapons suggests a higher end of the loot table. I've pulled scatter pistols and heavy weapons, vibroblades and vibroaxes. The problem is that the loot generator seems to generate weapons with fairly fixed stats. They usually reflect the absolute basestats of these weapons, much lower than weaponsmith quality. On top of that, items like heavy weapons that received a boost seem to be stuck at their pre-patch levels, so you getflamethrowers that consistently have a max damage of 150 or so, vibroblades with a very low max damage, etc.
The problem is that it means that DOTs are the only useful loot weapons. If a weapon has a good skill mod, it's usually not enough because the damagestats areusually weak, so even a +10 or more skill mod is not worth the trade-off. At one point I had a dagger with really low HAM costs and +13 to warcry that I used for a dizzy/KD/warcry combo, but nothing you would use as a regular weapon.
