fencer relies heavily on good/expensive weapons in order to have an offensiveoutput in pvp. High end PvE isa no-no.

I had the same template, except replacing Slicer with Rogue. Very solid for High end pvp....Apply Fire DOT, then tank as fencer, then switch back and apply DOT as needed. You'll more so be offensive support, than a damage dealer, which is a very fun role to play.

Any profession can be good if you have good equipment, but fencer without anything fancy isn't the greatest. As most have said here, mainly defenses. If you have some good equipment, though, you can do some good damage. This is my experience with it. If you want a good PvE profession, though, I would go with Swordsman or TKA.. probably swords, but I've never done it.

aka erelado tigen..
defences dont stack after combat revamp. meaning you have to be HOLDING a 1-handed weapon to gain defences from it

i'm still fencer for life, but fencer with low dmg output and no AP can't do anything in pvp or pve. i've used bugged batons with 400 minimum damage, and still can't puncute through psg's with stun armor especially while intimidated. i continue to be master fencer just because its awesome, and hope something will be changed in the revamp. cheers.

I use only fencer for combat and I have no problem in PVE. Using justsome damage sliced 240 max gaffis which I bought off a vendor for 20K each, I do 3000+ damage every second with one-hand hit 3. Might take a bit longer if the creature has armor, but it doesn't really matter because I'm not taking damage because I rarely everget hit.
