Well if the commando can get the drop on you. Your probably going to get torched. However, if you know what's coming. Try running to the side of the commando, and stay out of a direct path. Flamethrowers aren't very accurate to a moving target. LLC's are even worse. Basically you'll need to manually try and dodge their attack.

I am not a fencer yet, but with Teras Kasi. I can lunge/dizzy, or lunge/knockdown. Once on the floor. Begin the beat down. Commando's also take the same melee penalties as rifleman now. Good luck!
