I am currently a TKM/Master Rifleman and the combo is awesome. However I am going for Master Fencer in part because I am sick of everyone and their mother being TKM. (Of course I am going to keep the mediation line). Plus I like the defense of Fencer. YOu pretty much can't go wrong with any profession you want to go with. I say just go with what you'd enjoy the most.

heh you all forget TKA can only do kinetic damage....pretty useless if your hitting high kinetic resist opponents. Most enemies have no stun resist.....go figure.

Bottom line: TKM is the best overall melee profession for both PvE and PvP. Although a Swordsman with some good armor and/or buffs will probably out-do a TKM in PvE..but in PvP, the TKM wins 90% of the time or more, regardless of anyone's 80% kinetic composite armor.

Edit: Forgot to mention Fencer As far as PvE goes, if you can blind it, you can solo it..this is different in PvP, as TKM's have pounded through my Master Fencer dodge/CoB/blind with ease time after time after time. Oh, also, forgot to mention that the TKM, as with any other person, will lose most definitely if they are downright stoopid (intentional mis-spelling).

sorry i have to 100% dissagree with you

fencer is the best profession in this game because of a) stun baton and b) defense mods

its so funny if tkms finally land a dizzy kd (assuming they are not on the ground first, or dead already) on me and i lay on the ground and talk to them and watch their mind go away while they do little to no dmg to me...then i get up and proceed to beat the hell of of them

btw...dizzy2 and lung1 works as a great dizzy kd

Okay.. my 2 cents (I know most of oyu on the fencer boards probably wanna beat my ass). As a master fencer/master brawler/TKA grinderI know for a fact that TKMs do NOT win 90% of the time. Both me and my friend have soloed multiple TKMs at that same time unbuffed and unarmored. I do notlike fencer in PvE, as most dungeons involve light-heavy armor and my VB breaks the record for bad stats. Also, there is NO way a TKM is better for PvE, my master swordsman guildmate can easily slice his way through the geo cave with his scythe, whereas a TKM with only light armor piercing and kinetic damage will need extreme buffs and armor to beat even one enhanced kwi, if for no other reason then the length of time it will take for unarmed hit 3 to kill one. So, my rundown: Fencer= PvP swordsman= PvE and TKM= dappler in both, but with new armor types they don't stand much of a chance in PvP. TKM is for those who want to save skill points and perform fairly well in both PvP and PvE.

I dont know who said tkm wins, iv never lost in a 1v1 to a tkm, a PURE one, now a tkm/cm, or some stupid crap like that.. well.. cm needs a nerf so..

Fencer is best for PvP, Swordsman for PvE, Tkm for dabble/making easy money off missions(ER's)

Why not all 3? Sure, you lose out on Medic, and Terrain Neg of scout, but you could pretty much pick, and choose the pool you wanted to hit, and with 3 different types of damage, depending upon what your target it weak against. To tell you the truth, I don't care what anyone else thinks, I'm gonna do it anyway... but I am curious if anyone else has done this, and how succesful it was in PvE, and PvP...
