Thread: heard people talk about warcry and intimidate but...
Both have the same reduction, the only difference is intimidate2 has longer expiry timer.

Intimidate 2 is about 75% damage reduction when it works.
I use it all the time, But it is in Master Brawler...
Intimidate 1 is about 50% and doesn't land hardly ever on advanced planets.

Seena...what I was trying to say was that someone "falling on their back" isnt associated with any timer.
I read his post again and I can't (yet) see how Im misinterpreting.
Ok now Im confused....I replied to the wrong post.

ok, lemme try to explain it better. Oh and i'm a she...
There's a few "timers" you should think bout when fighting. The reuse timer on certain moves, and the effect timer. Any straight knock down has a 5sec effect timer, and a 30sec reuse timer. Same with posture change moves. Lunge1 has a 30sec reuse timer and a 5sec effect. So if you lunge a target they will spend 5 seconds in the lowered position. Same with knockdown, you hit them with lunge2 and it lands, they will be on their back for 5 seconds, and the move will not work again for 30 seconds.
So with the old example;
Rancor comes up to me, i use warcry. 30 seconds delay reuse timer goes into effect, and the rancor get's the effect (20sec delay). I then use lunge2, and he falls. If i attack at 1sec each turn, i now have 19 seconds to beat the rancor down before he get's up again. Ok, so now he get's up, 20 seconds have past. I now use lunge1, and he goes into a kneeling stance for 5 seconds. Fight has lasted 25seconds without him attacking me. He get's up from lunge1, and starts to attack, but wait.....in 5 seconds warcry2 reuse timer is reset, i use that, then i use lunge2. Rinse repeat.
Now this is if all goes perfect, which it almost never does, but that's why you have intimidate, and blind and armor and what not.
If you use a dizzy/lunge1 combo, and the person falls on their back - is this on on 30 sec KD timer? Or the 5 sec lunge timer?
No, This isn't considered a KD move so no timer is applied. If you use dizzy then a lunge and they fall, they will stay down until either they succeed in standing up (roll vs dizzy, note zabraks recover faster, it's dizzy defense) or the dizzy wears off, whichever comes first. The 5 sec lunge timer here just prevents then from their first attempt at standing, once they attempt to stand they will either succeed or fall, depending on their dizzy defense. You will not beable to use lunge again with success for 30 seconds.
Oh another note, if you use a kd or lunge and it succeeds, using another one right behind it will counter what you just did. IE if i use kd2, and it knocks them down, and they are dizzy. In pve if use kd2 again (or any other kd move) they will automatically stand. So don't spam your lunge1/2 or kd1/2, and if you do get ready to hit peace as soon as it works.
i have found that it is easier to intimidate a creature after it has had other staus effects applied to it such as bleeds, blind, dizzy, stun. aslo when they have less than full HAM bars
a bleeding, blind, dizzy creature almost always intimidates first try, and if not the first then for sure the second try.
