the HAM costs are insane!

I made a macro:

/intimidate1;
/warcry1

i go to try it out and BAM down to 75% health. Tried tinkering around w/ my secondary stats a bit and will hopefully try again tonight.

Couple questions:

How do you use these skills?

Are the HAM costs dependant on the weapon you have equipped? (i.e. would a VB help?)

Are they even worth using?

thanks in advance for your help.

God save the Queen

That is all.

warcry1 is good, it delays their action for 10 sec, warcry delay for 20 sec

I wouln't worry about intimidate though, as i never really see any good effect with them.

Intimidate 2 is about 75% damage reduction when it works.

I use it all the time, But it is in Master Brawler...

Intimidate 1 is about 50% and doesn't land hardly ever on advanced planets.

Just to add to this thread...I found it's warcry that kills our ham bar. I use intimadate all the time with all my brawler types and it hardly costs anything.

HAM costs are very much determined by your weapon and armor. Armor encumbrance lowers all 3 of the related stats ofHealth Actionand Mind by the amount it lists and since it reduces the stats that make special moves cost less, they cost more. Plus the stat loss also reduces your regeneration rate.

As I understand it, the weapon's HAM costs are just taken from the main damage pools rather than substats as well but maybe I'm wrong.

That's true, but warcry and intimidate don't factor weapon use. They have a base cost and only factor in secondary stats. Armor will effect these stats therefore making the ham cost more. Intimidate in general lowers damage done to you. Only difference between intimidate1 and 2 is that 1 lasts a very short time, 2 lasts longer. They both reduce damage the same amount. The effect time stacks, meaning if intimidate 1 lasts 20 seconds, hitting an enemy with it 5 times will make it stick for 100 seconds.

Warcry1 is a 10 seconds delay, warcry2 is 20 seconds. Both are on a 30 second timer. Lunge1 is a 5 second delay, so if you have warcry2 and use it with lunge1 you can take a person out of the fight 25 seconds every 30 seconds. Another effect of the delay is one that's great for mobs that don't dizzy/kd well. Use warcry2 then lunge2, the target will fall and stay down for 20 seconds or the duration of the delay. Do this every 30 seconds with lunge1 and you'll only have them fight back for 5 seconds every 30 seconds. If all sticks without resist and all successes.

Now stun causes the target the miss every other attack, meaning they don't get another attack. So if i swing 2 times every second, and i get the stun effect, i now swing 1 time every second. This has the effect of lowering damage you take. Blind just increases the chance of you evading/dodging/blocking an attack or having them miss flat out.

You'd probable be better off asking this on the Brawler Boards- but you can try upping your strength, that might reduce your HAM costs...

Wait wait, stun makes them miss every other attack?

I've been stunned a lot and dont' remember that happening.

Is that REALLY what stun does?

they don't miss the attack, they aren't granted the attack. The only effect you will see is lowered damage do you.

Steegee,

If you use a dizzy/lunge1 combo, and the person falls on their back - is this on on 30 sec KD timer? Or the 5 sec lunge timer?
