Thread: Fencer PvP Effectiveness.

Sadly enough the quickest wayto win I've noticed to boost your mind up as much as you can and pray that don't get KD'd. I've been doing a pretty good job of laying down states while keeping the worst off myself, I just can't get my mind up enough to compete with some of the guys on my server. I was in a 15 minute battle with a guy and lost when my mind went south.

I know Intimidate is a proble, but there isn't a real way to combat that if you are fighting another Melee profession. I get Intimidation on as soon as I can, so the results should be mutual



Thanks for your help guys, I will take all that has been said on board. I'm not going to change my template cause Doc is too valuable to me, and I love Fencer too much

cob macro,nice mind buff.


my strategy is intimitaite,blind,dizzy,lunge1 and if target get kd then scatter hit2(scatter because im pikeman and i have some nice mind dots)



my current stun baton ist like 150-370.. acklay maded.



pst. i tooked jedi guardian last night it tooked like 10sec lol he didnt have stun armor 1k dmg per scatter hit2 ( plz no flame and no omg nerf nerf)

i was master rifle/master fencer


then fencer/doctor


now tkm/master fencer/0040 pistol/medic and 1v1 i am unbeatable on my server except by the otehr person with teh same template, we have good fights, his name is nox'ik other than that, no one else can beat m

116 ranged


125 melee (more like 150 but 125 is cap)


115 dodge


120 kd defense


90 blind defense


95 dizzy


100 defense to posture change


65 stun


30 intimidation



with my 1337 items


125 ranged


125 dodge


125 kd defense


110 dizzy


105blind


112 defense to posture


79 stun defense



next off i have a lot of offense too, fencer and tk, tk lets me do pve, and if my stun baton isnt getting through there armor i can use VK and use mindhit, i also get ranged mitigation 2 which kicks ass







max for state defenses is 90...anything over that is a waste of your skillpoints

What do you mean "State" defenses? You mean vs. KD, vs. Stun? I didn't think there was a cap to those only the Dodge, Counterattack, Block, which capped at 125.

no way dude, i askedi n the game guides forums like 3 weeks ago, its 125 also, believe if you want, ive even tested it, before rifles i was heavy swords/fencer/4304 tka, 95 kd defense hten, i got kded a lot still, not, i rarely get kded, so there must be a difference

Fighting oponents wearing stun armor makes the fight quite difficult if you don't have some sick damage stun baton. I lost to a Master swordsman (with bits of TK and rifleman, wearing 80% kinetic 30% stun comp armor) this week end. We both had buffs / food (ham was around 3k/3k/3k). I am master fencer, but my stun baton is only 185 max dmg.
The fight lasted close to 10 minutes, where I died, due to no more mind (he kept hitting me on the head all the time, never bothered about the rest). I had a cob macro running, kept him dizzy/intimidated/blind all the time, and was using lunge to have him fall evry 30 seconds (not spamming, just using once, retrying only if i saw failure message). Other than that, I was using scatter2, but never got any of his pools lower than 80%.
I don't see how I could have won this fight. I could have made it last longer by using a better set of armor (was wearing a set of comp I use for basic hunting), but I sure don't see how I could have done more damage him wearing stun layered armor.

Ok... so its obviously not 90 I know that for a fact. 125 I'd be more inclinded to believe but I haven't seen that anywhere else. I've also asked in the forums "What skills have caps and what is the cap level?" And I was told there wasn't. Here's the forum.
