Helo guys. I have been a master fencer for about 1 month now (or something like that) and love it. I read that Fencer/Doc was one of the best combinations in-game, so thats what I am.

I just recently ventured into PvP to keep me amused till Pub. 10 and i'm having a few problems...

More than i'd like, im doing next to no damage to my target! I tried different moves like Scatter hit 2 and Body hit 3 etc, but still with the same effect. I have all the fencer weaps, and have tried all of them on most targets!

The only HAM pool I seem to be able to damage is Health, which they then promptly heal, and i soon fall incapped.

I have been beaten by a Master Pikeman (?!?) who didn't KD, a similar Master Doc/Fencer and a Master HS/TKM. All three of these people I have done next to no damage to.

My buffs were 2513 to all 6 stats (my own buffpacks) and theirs were slightly worse. My armour is 80% special to Kin, Energy and Elec, with a 70% base. All parts encum sliced apart from the legs and boots (eff sliced to 87% base). When I face a Fencer/Pistoleer/Stun Damager, I switch to a 34% stun suit. The HAm costs are pretty low for each suit (500 to all 3 pools). I take 2 x VB which adds 808 to my Mind, and take Air Cake, Synthsteak and Vag Canape before each battle. CoB is also running, but my regen takes care of that.

My Geffi Baton is an Acklay one with 180/340 or something similar, as is the same with my Stun Baton. I have a standard Vibroblade and a Mind DoT Knife.

My combo goes like this:- Intim, Dizzy, Lunge 1, Blind, Scatter 2 or Body Hit 3 depending how their HAM is going.

Any suggestions??

No Fencer PvPers have tips on this?? C'mon I must be doing something wrong, as all I keep reading is "I pwn at PvP!!" "Noting can beat a Fencer, and if they do, then the Fencer made a mistake".

That's because they are all full of **edit**.

Ok first off, when you start combat you should use your poison knife if it doesn't stick after a while then just whip out your stun baton. The combo is good but most people only use scatterhit2(it's currently bugged and goes through all defenses). Try to keep them on the ground because you do more damage to target when they're KD'd. Always use your stun baton in PvP unless the person you're fighting is unarmored then you can bring out your gaffi.
Oh and I don't really consider doctor/fencer the best template because a defense stacker could pretty easily take them down.

And about the fencers killing everyone: yeah right Fencers can get brought down very very easy with just 2 states.

You need a heal dizzy Macro..

You not damaging your targets... are you stunned, blind or intimidated while this is happening? Well.. go around and duel, and learn how to fight. Don't rely on Dizzy+KD. I would always rather keep my opponent on thier feet.. but not everyone is like that I guess.

Stack your states and go for a single pool. Scatterhit2 should drop all thier stats pretty fast.. maybe they just have stun armor? /shrug

Are you using a CoB macro? That is a must in pvp. As for weapons, start outwith your knife and then take out your stun baton after the poison sticks. While you have your knife out you should also be trying to intimidate and dizzy your opponent. If you only have lunge 1, though, you probably shouldn't be doing this. Master brawler to get lunge 2 since it's kd and works better. Don't use bodyhit or 1handhit, scatterhit2 is your best bet since it hits the mind and ignores dodge/counterattack and all the other defenses.

ScatterHit2 really ignores those? I can still dodge it.. /shrugs.

Do not believe everything you read... your combat spam may say you dodged it, but a number will still pop up over your head and your HAM bars will still move in a downward fashion.

Great response guys!!

Yeah, I open with my Knife andhave my CoB macro running. I normally have no states on me (apart from intimidation) and I try to get as many on the opponent as possible.

I only dizzy then lunge to try and get a head start, it if doesn't work Scatter Hit 2 is spammed (after applying states). I'm told when they are KD'd that Body Hit 3 is the one to go for as it gets a damage multiplier. Dont really follow that advice though.

I will keep trying! Thing is, when I do fight someone that kicks my ass, I normally get a /t saying "hey, you're quite good" or something to that effect. Guess I must be doing something right *shrug*

Keep the suggestions coming!!

Intimidation takes your damage down a lot

intimidation reduces damage by 50% in fact, stun will reduce damage by an additional 10% also.

Bodyhit 3 may work well when they are on the ground but if you don't kill them before they stand up they will stim away all your hard work. If they are wearing armor there is hardly ever a reason to use anything but your stun baton and scatter2. Scatter will do some mind damage which is the only way to win in PvP these days.
