Thread: PUT THE ARMOR QUESTION TO BED
"Is it worth having the armor if you have to change your stats?"
Depends on how you go about it.
Stats to me, seem only to reflect how fast ham regenerates. I'm probably wrong, if I am, disregard this post, heh ![]()
If you migrate your stats so that you have high mind regeneration, then you can wear all the armor you want that effects your action and health regeneration if you have medic skills. Because when you take damage you can just heal yourself with stims. Mind damage, because you have such a high mind regeneration and arent wearing mind encumbering armor, will regen quite quickly. But then, this is just my strategy, and I'm more of a casual gamer than a power gamer. I wear no armor on my head, chest, orrightarm (style baby!),and all the pieces of armor I wear are of various different kinds, withthe two bestbeing blue pants with 34% resists (I think) and a piece of black composit on my arm with 40-50% resists and ham costs in the 30 point range. I usually get between half and 75% of damage to me blocked, which is plenty to me. Of course, I let my pets tank. Hehe.
Pets!!! oh man... I wont go into one of my anti-petspeeches again. hehe.
Ok. Glad we got the Kimo/Kima thing straightened out. I've never seen a Kima but they sound pretty wimpy to me.
You know.... anything under 10k ham = wimpy. ![]()
If you guys don't have armorsmiths making advanced ubese yet you should have them get on it. On Starsider I have ubese with 70% kinetic resist at a much lower HAM cost than composite and I use it for all my creature killing needs.

Lol armor for pve is alright i assume... sometimes the ham encumberance isnt really worth it. For pvp its necessary, even tho i only wear a helmet and a cheast piece..
Either way, its really up to you, though wearing anything short of advanced composite is a complete waste of encumberance.
