you have way too much time on your hands... but omg this idea rocks!!! there better be an elite elite fencer profession... else im going to be pissed.
oh... and was i really high at the time... or did i see a title "blade dancer" like really early in the game under the search menu for titles...? o well... *shurgs*

Seems like a natural fit. Dancers always used to ask me what the ryyk blade was-- they thought it would look great as part of their act, and would even offer to buy them from me. Not surprisingly, I've seen one or two are actually fencers now.
Even if a new profession like this would be out of the question for a long while, I think cross-certifications would be a good idea-- certs and special moves that are only given if you have two particular boxes from two different professions.
Actually, I had this idea when I thought that someone trained in both polearm and rifle should be certified to use a rifle with a bayonet, allowing the use of a new special move or two, and possibly the moves of either profession while wielding the one weapon.
For the blade dancer idea, there are many histoical examples of objects that seemed fairly elegant and harmless but could actually be used for defense-- some could be quite destructive, such as Iron Flutes and Iron Fans.

Its actually a good idea.. since Balance and control is alot of dancing....Thats why professional athletics always take ballett.. A since of balance and control...lol they could make that elite be something like the matrix cause of the way dancers move.... "what your trying to say i can dodge bullets.." "No when your ready, You want have to...

they cant get dual wielding animations right
this is SOE i mean come on now you think they are gonna sit down and worrie bout/discuss how to fix the animation hehe
no, they're gonna sit down and think about more important things like how to nerf melons even more lol

i dont like the idea, i really like the classes the way they are and elite elite classes would be too much imo

I disagree,
Except in that I wouldn't call them elite elite professions...
Specialist Professions perhaps...
to the mention of dual wielding I don't think I mentioned Dual weilding at all...
I actually really like the idea because it remains in the 250 Skill point load, simply gives a specialized method of advancment.
But thats just my idea...
But wouldn't it be cool to be able to get a Tailor that could put Melee/Stun Defence Mods into Dancer wear?

This is a damn good proposal! Have you actually tried to approach the devs or Fury with this? Let me know if you start a petition for this, I'll gladly sign my name to it.
