Defense vs. KD, posture change and Dizzy work in the pistoleer line. They don't work 100% of the time but the difference between them working and not are significant.


Defense vs. Blind, I don't know.


Dodge, I have no way of judging, but I definitely dodged a lot more as master pistoleer than as BH.


Body Shot 3 is an effective shot at Master. You could say Legshot 3 is inneffective in carbine, but when you add the speed BS3 and LS3look a whole lot better.

Well, let's reserve judgement on one of our top issues...looks like they upped our defensive mods and perhaps made them worthwhile in this patch. Specials need to be fixed of course...

I've tested it thousands of times. Ask anyone on Starsider: Ever since master gunfighter, PvP is pretty much all I do. I check the combat log every single time I can after a fight. I've seen one dodge since dropping Pistol Grips 2 dodge hold and I used to have one in every two fights before that. For me there's been a difference. Not saying dodge everwon any battles for me, but I believe the dodge modifier is working, however weak.


Even when they fix3you'll get more dps out of legshot2 until you get more of the speed mods, since 3 will obviously have a longer cooldown. Just like master pistoleer and BS3. So the question there is do they drop the power and the cooldown to get a slightly better shot than BS2, or does BS3 stay the same strength and cooldown, at which point it will still only be useful at master. Anytime power is increased the cooldown and ham cost has to be increased as well to maintain balance.

I just mastered Fencer last night and my new holo said TK. Well i have enough skill points to have both but my question is do the melee and ranged defenses of both classes stack. If I am using unarmed will the ranged and melee from Fencer apply. Thanks!

Yes it will, and so will most of the other mods like Defense V KD and combat equilibrium.Meditate and powerboost from TKare useful skills, wish I had the extra points to get powerboost.

By my calculations, master rifle is 70 to block and 70 (78 with marksman 0004) to ranged defense. Is this correct? Andthe way I understand theFAQ post, these are bothraisable to a total of 125??

Yups.
The cap is 125, before skill tapes or food or other modifiers (SLs and such)
Theoretically, with tapes you can hit 150, and even higher with food.

Yups.

Theoretically, with tapes you can hit 150 (tapes only work up to the hard cap limit), and even higher with food (and SL support).

Or you could just go Rifle/Pike like me (for as long as live remains its current status) and have 1 gajillion block, which is perhaps the worst example of defence stacking in the game, since block is not very effective. Bring on the CU!
