If this turns out to be our version of the Commando's useless ever-broken Beam Rifle, I will start to cry.

This is really starting to piss me off.
If the dang quest is broken, its someones duty (SOE, Minerunner, somebody who knows more) to tell us that it is broken.
Do we have to trade in our balls for a frikin clue? Christ, the swordsman gets their scythe(I am a swordsman too), rifleman get their dxr and beserker(and yes I know it is broke atm, but there are some out there) but nooooooo...we all left to ourselves to find out where to find our new weapon. In a profession that has 2 good weaps(3 if you find exceptional rancor teeth), we are priveleged to be frustrated with a seemingly broke quest.
My guess is that the spawn rate for rare bones is broken, like the tusken helmet used to be. Everyone slaughtered tuskens by the hundreds looking for a tusken helmet, and people paid up to a million credits for an existing one.
I will keep trying...but outlook looks grim.

After searching through the .TRE game files from Patch 6 and 7 (roughly the time the Bestine election was introduced) and I found some names of loot items and quest rewards that may serve as clues. I will list them here.
-Tusken Head
-Carved Stone
-Crude Stone
-Smooth Stone
-Victor Gaderiffi Baton (assuming that this is a reward for some quest for Victor)
-Victor Quest Journal
-Victor Quest hlist (?)
-Victor Quest Testimony
-Victor Quest Reciept
-Victor Quest dseal
-Victor Campaign Disk
-Victor Registry
-Sean History Disk
-Sean Log
-Sean Testimony
-Sean Campaign Disk
-Sean tdisk
-Sean mdisk
-Sean Papers
I hope these help

Can anyone provide either?Message Edited by galvatronicus on 01-06-2005 10:15 PM
Everyone knows the Merchat is in game. The bones, to my knowledge can only be seen in the Bestine Museam by the curator if indeed they are "tusken rare bones" or just ackley bones. Its uncertain but why would they have ackely bones in a Tatooine museam?

You cant target those bones in the museum, so they could likley just be there for looks.
How about this for a direction?
Has anyone been involved in one of the tusken invasions? Maybe the boss spawn of an invasion drops some sort of required loot? I jumped into one of the mining outpost jedi invasions and there were increasingly difficult spawns of jedi until finally a 1 million hit pointboss spawned. Maybe the tusken invasion yields the loot?
However, that TRE list seems damning of the tusken bone theory.

Krondore wrote:Well, we have never been given any reason to doubt what minerunner says, and he says it is worth all the trouble. So maybe he has seen stats on it or something. Or at least been told about them. In alot of ways I think that it probabily is in the game as he said that he is also looking into it. Its just a matter of finding it. But like I said before, there is a possibility that we are going about this the wrong way. We still don't have any real proof that it has anything to do with tuskens. Or with bones for that matter. Once again, I say it is all hearsay. All we really know about it, is what minerunner said about it. The rest is speculation. We know it probabily has something to do with the bestine elections. But is says, may or may not. So we don't even really have that. There is a strong possibility that it has to do with bestine as it was mentioned. Maybe it could be a little thing like the scyth schematic is. From a little NPC that most would just dismiss as they walk by him. Then you end up having to fight a Krayt for the schematic. I can't see it being much harder then that. I mean, the hardest weapon in the game to get is deffinatly the NSEL. So I doubt it is equal to that. But as for the tusken thing. I think I am done with Tuskens for now, unless I run into some or just hunt them for fun. I will try some other ways to interpret the little information that we have.Although, Minerunner, if you read this, it would be nice if you could at least let us know that you are still reading these posts and this string. Possibly let us know if we are on the right track or not. Or if you have anymore info on this at all. But even just a post saying Hey! would be good to know that we aren't alone in this.Another Idea I just had, is that it could still be in testing... So that means that it might only be on the TC servers. That does happen with most stuff right?DuskaoMaster FencerCarbineer 3-2-0-3Smuggler 0-3-1-0
The more I think about it the more I think you're right. To date I've killed
2 Executioners
5 Observers
2 Witchdoctors
I've only gotten two heads from the executioner. Although I admit the drop rate for the bones would probably be rare. With thousands of people killing the high level tuskens over such a long period of time and no bones to show for it I've got to believe that completing the quest for the mace is not as simple as the one for the lithitanium rifle or the carbine.
I'm more and more inclined to believe that the quest is more like the darklighter quest. You start somewhere else doing something, seemingly totally unrelated, and wind up back on tat trading one quest item for a better one.
If sean wins, maybe one of the merchants that spawn will give some clues as to where to start.

Ok, i think i may have it here, please feel free to one star the hell out of me if it was already said inthis thread as i only read about half.
When Sean is in office there is a lowered StormTrooper presence AND the city gets raided by Tuskens. I dont know how many of you people have been in the city when it gets raided but i have and the waves keep coming until the players find and kill the executioner out of the crowd. We killed it the one time i was there, but i was not in a group with them ( Caught everyone by surprise ) so i dont know if anyone looted anything from it. BUT, this could be something we should do. Victor tells us about the mission, we get Sean in office and the raid from the tuskens and the merchant spawn. What do you guys think?

Junti Mace must be a fake, or a abandoned project from SOE.
There are no more post from Minerunner, and (as usual) there are no post from Devs nor any official answer.
I think there's only a hope, Combat Revamp. And personally i'm really tired of Battons and weapons like that. I WANT SWORDS FOR MY FENCER!!!!!
Sigh...

I agree with this line of thinking. There has been a mass number of naturally spawning high level tuskens killed in search for these bones and the tusken raid on bestine is tied to who is in office (supposedly) due to the lower security from lack of stormtroppers. I think this would be a good option to persue next. However, it will need to be done over and over again because the bones are not a static drop but have a % chance to be looted.

I have to agree. we fencers need something beside the stupid weapons we have. i mean we have no weapons that do AP damage except that stupid little vibro blade thingy.

Is there anyway to do missions for the tuskens?
You can stop killing the tuskens now, its obviously not the way to find those bones.
