Didn't know if this is posted yet somewhere so ill give it a go:
I worked all day yesterday and finally got the Xris Acid Sword. It is a complete weapon that is given to you. The base DPS on it is 314!!!
Here's How You get it: Gain Access to the Rodian Hunting grounds and Do the quests that Sordaan Xris tells you to. He will make you to go to other people to get missions. Once one when you speak with him, he will give you an option to make a "wager with him". It is to kill a certain amount of critters in a certain amount of time (you can take 6 people in a group, but i did it solo). After the third wager (of four) he gives you the Acid sword. (You will also get the Flare Pistol, Geo Carbine, and Falann Hyper Rifle this way).
Hope this helps.
im assuming you had very low mins on them, am i wrong? (low is below 200 IMO)

3 300+'s that didn't convert to 300 dps? my 200min 270 max converted to 410 dps. something doesn't sound right with your batons. quite interesting.

Yeah well my 290-467 2.0 speed converted to 363. Sounds like you got lucky, or you're posting modified dps.

Think about it. The only things your mods affect is your speed and accuracy. Why would the damage you deal go up as your SPEED increases?

I'm not sure what's meant by DPS in the game at this time.
Having a higher DPS should mean one of two things:
1) You deal a higher amount of damage in the same period of time. In this case, you should see higher numbers.
or
2) You deal the same amount of damage, but with a shorter delay between attacks. In this case, the numbers should be no higher, but you would attack faster.
I suppose both could also be true. The only powerup I've tried powered up both speed and damage. If the weapon is the same and the only difference is whether a piece of equipment with a speed mod was equipped or unequipped, I would assume that the numbers would stay the same, but have less delay between them.
But I haven't seen anything about how DPS is calculated in the game, I'm not sure what kind of assumptions are made about differences in level, accuracy, etc.
