Thread: Whats the best way to down a Jedi with just fencer attacks?

Hey guys, new fencer here....played tka, jedi lots of other profs just never fencer.


I am almost done with fencer/bh and looking for the best combo's to put them on thier backs and keep them from booking it right away......any suggestions deeply appreciated!

another thing when fighting jedi with fencer, eating pikatta pie right before the fight, in my opinion, is extremely important.this combined with blind / intimidate, you will get hit ALOT less often


and another strategy i have is when u actually get them KD'ed, just spam dizzy 2 so every time they heal it, it just comes right back on and dizzy 2 is a pretty powerful attack. only thing that doesent work on are master Defenders because it takes a few hits to get the dizzt on them and by that time thier standing, but any other jedi temp that works like a charm

You're ranged friend cannot be spamming fire knockdown, it's like a PD attack, if they are KD/PD and you hit them again with thesame attackthey get back up. ALOT of ppl don't know this, so make sure anyone you go with has TS or Vent and you know what everyone is doing. Don't have 2 different ppl doing PD/KD attacks or you will put him back up.


One person does kd/pd, one person does dizzies, one does damage. That seems to work best imho. Also, KD and PD are on different timers, so when he gets back up from KD, the PD timer usually is up and you can rehit it. Although fencer is really good to go hunt jedis, I think tk is better because they have 2 takedowns, but thats just me.


Might wanna also eat some low fill thakitillo just to be on the safe side so you dont get kd'ed.

Dizzy/lunge and a warcry to get them KD and spam hit3 to wipe their health pool. Best to try to take their health pool down since it takes more force to heal health and action than it does with mind. Basiclly just tank them until their force is gone.

Don't forget to drop intimidate on them.. it's pretty important. CoB doesn't hurt either.

Thanks Skorpy! Couple more questions:


How effective is the lunge in your experience, does it hit often?


What is the warcry for, won't it break when I smack them with a hit3....does it give me a better chance of keeping them from standing ( maybe because they can't move during warcry?)

Lunge does hit often but the thing is, people have different posture change defence so its hard to say but if you're fighting a jedi, it will stick easily since they don't have much defence against that.

The warcry is to stop them from getting up too quickly, sometimes when you stand up from a dizzy/lunge attack too fast, you don't fall down. I usually always make a warcry when i do a dizzy/lunge combo attack, it just makes it more realible to trust.

For brawler in general, true. But to me they're every bit a part of fencer, as fencer is a "child" of the brawler tree anyway.

Man never would have thought of using warcry in this situation! Brilliant....will a second lunge take them to prone or is there just no point?


I am going to have 2 ranged partners as well one spamming fireknockdown which would be unaffected timer wise since I am using lunge and 1 rifleman bh with a 1100 pup'd laser rifle we looted. I just need to keep the Jedi in place long enough for the rifle to get through the block a couple times. We are hoping to clean up some of the Knight Trash on our server

A second lunge takes them to standing, kinda doing the opposite there.

Best way to take down a jedi is get them dizzy/lunge and just keep spamming dizzy. Hit3 might do the most damage but why would you want them standing back up? Dizzy2 is a really stong attack and it will keep them dizzy so while they are worrying about healing their states and trying to stand up you will be tearing them up.
