Thread: Pistoleer/Fencer dodge getting nerfed?

I keep hearing that the devs are making it so that dodge will not stack from pistoleer and fencer. Is this just a rumor? If it isn't can someone confirm it? Thanks.

Not neccesarily however I am about 99% positive that there is a Cap on the Max dodge a char can have. My guess is as good as yours but i doubt it is higher than 150.

That's dumb. If you spend the skill points into turning your character into a dodge master, then you should get to be a dodge master, I don't see how not getting shot will really be that much of an expoit since you're sacrificing the ability to do as much damage or branch into other trees. This is like making BH and Pistoleer speed + accuracy mods not stack, why is ducking under an axe or laser as a fencer any different than ducking under it as a pistoleer? I was intending on trying out the Pistoleer/Fencer combo to see how often you would dodge with maxed out dodge (and perhaps a few skill attachments)

because not getting hit all the time you can still:


Shoot for 400 - 500 dmg with a pistol.


HIt for 400 -500 dmg with a sword250 - 350 dmg with a stun baton which wont get reduced on composite people..


Resist KD's and Dizz'ys like nothing. Still have points to get novic medic, and some so you can heal those bleeds, the only things that will touch you, and the rare cahnce you do lose 500 life you can heal it all back in an instant.


The point is, while we have all the ability to not get hit, few proffesions have the option to waste points stacking enough accurasy to balance this out. Right now with 80% composite and almost never getting hit, and 100kd,90dizzy defence. 70 something ranged defence, and over 100 melee defence with NOT **edit**TY damage. Whats to stop you?(Well i know what could stop you...)


Anyway thats the reason it wil probably get nerfd. There is no counter to it, you can stack defence, but not offence(accuracy) well rarley, and for much more points.BH + Carbine, or pistol is only stacking accuracys.

if u are willnig to spend all those skill points on being defensive then y should they nerf that? i mean MTKA's spend half the points and can buff themselves do like 4000 dmg every .1seonds and kd/dizzy you. i think if u want tospend the points then u should be strong. there are plenty of professions that can deal a lot of dmg with little defences, and there are professions that deal little dmg (pistoleer/fencer) and have a lot of defences, seems fair to me.

Weaponmaster I would LOVE to know where you get these damage mods and speed references for a TKM, but instead you run off at the mouth with insane numbers. Your post in general made no sense, but I digress anyway on to the main subject of this post. I hear there breaking the dodge mods into 2 seperate branches b/c its not dodge thats overpowered its the combination of Pistoleer/Fencer.

Remember that in order for the game to function properly, there has to be risk. If a Pistoleer/Fencer is dodging like mad then the risk is reduced to almost nothing. While with many people, I'd love the mod stacking for 200+ dodge to stay, it's probably best to make Pistol and Fencer dodges not stack. If the same case were true for counterattack and block, then those would have to be separated as well.

hmmm maybe he ment in pve... but at that speed? i dont think anything hits that fast... but seriously. i see where he is coming from with the tkm thing. accuracy of 210? 215 with master brawler... even with the stacked dodge they can hit fencers/pistoleers with not that much problem... ive seen it. then the fact that EVERYONE and their mother is going tkm now is friggin annoying. i can understand why the dodge stack would get nerfed, but tkm seriously needs to be brought into line with the other melee.

Did any single one of thse people complaining about the "unfairness" of stacking Pistoleer and fencer dodge ever hear about Poison? Or Disease? Did you realize that Status Effects and DoT effects still apply to you if you Dodge (if you get hit by a bleed, you bleed even if you dodge, monsieur).


If some people are too stupid to take out a master of defense then they should not complain about the skills of their opponent but rather their lack of skills in their mental processing.
