Thread: Are fencers and the other melee professions useless against a TKA?!?

Um TKA IS GIMPED i am master fencer havnt met a tka yet that has beat me Also u say they dizzy kd me i get them way first. TKa defense sucks and damage sucks vs armor. Its all about knowing how to use your skills.

Fencer in composite armour using brandy, buffs, syntsteak, KD defence food, Center of Beeing, Scatter Hit2, Stun Batonand a ton of armour attachments.
Situation I:
1.Fencer meets TKA in pvp
2.TK uses KD+Dizzy
3.Fencer down after 5 secs of combat and stays so rest of fight
4.Fencer dead
Situation II:
1.Fencer meets TKA in pvp
2.TK uses KD+Dizzy
3.Fencer has high KD resist
4.TK uses Lunge+Dizzy
5.Fencer down after 5 secs of combat and stays so rest of fight
6.Fencer dead
Situation III:
1. On your back again
2. Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy Dizzy
3. Dead
Im aMaster Fencer and according to the info on the boards I should be a very happy clapper.
But my examples above sum up my pvp crareer so far.
Is there any way to stay on your feet and actually fight a TKA?
Or must we accept as a fact of life that the moment we see a TK we hit the ground and stay down for the duration?
Are any of the melee professions any use in solo pvp vs a solo TKA?
Are the TKA unbalaned and/or the other melee professions just weak?
Please help a frustrated and useless pvp player learn the big secret.

Try getting a chef to get that dodge food to work in your meal there. That's the set up I have and it works well.

Oh and I forgot make sure u blind the tka so your dodge will work even better.

Situation IV:
Wear 90% Kenetic Resist armor..while knocked down go to fridge and get a slice of cold pizza and a coke. Warm pizza to liking, put on plate then watch TKM till hes out of food and mind buffs. Get up when hes bored out of his skull and hit him once with stun baton or vibro blade with scatter hit and wala. I like to watch a sitcom while hes spamming his UAHit3.

Fencers can beat TKA's...but you have to be smart and have your target blind and dizzy as well as a CoB Macro running.

considering TK's have only +20 defense vs Posture down, what's to keep fencer's from doing #4, you do have a dizzy attack too you know.

u obviously don't know how to PvP... A fencer could easily beat a TKA in PvP. If your wearing 80% kinetic composite, it's almost impossible for a TKA to kill u in 20 secs. You have more then enough time to get up from being dizzy and kick his butt. You just have to know how to PvP. He'll waste more HAM spaming Unarmed Hit3 or Unarmed Headhit then the damage he does to you wearing armor. I'm not gonna go into my PvP tactics, but I laugh at a TKA when they wanna fight. It's almost not even fair to him. It's not all about spamming your specials, there is some skill into PvPing.
