Not the worst in the game, I left bh to do thing with fencer that I couldn't do before...like solo rancors. Second, check out the "What's the hardest thing you've solo'd as a fencer" thread, some tough mobs in there if I ever knew.

Fencer isn't that bad in PvE. Although I have additional Defense from TKA 4004 and master carbineer, as well as the meditate skill Powerboost, I mostly use these while barreling through NPC and creature dungeons, or soloing the occasional Rancor for kicks. Now, you won't catch me soloing a Krayt or Nightsister or entering the Geonosian Lab alone, but i find enough loot and enjoyment from other lower level dungeons where i can find myself swarmed with varying ham level NPCs.

I also wander the other planets in search of comparable leveled adversaries, but i feel i have enjoyment in PvE with fencer.

Are you kidding me?....it just might be your template, places you've tried to solo, or the people you've grouped with. It wasn't by choice....i've soloed 2 NS rangers and a Huntress (statics) while doing a giant baz nitch mission...took 8 heals total but i left finishing the mission and with the NS loot on my swoop

Currently, dodge is not kicking in on high mobs (krayts, ns's etc) so, atm, TKM is your best bet for pure tankage, they will out-do fencers in damage on armord targets, but unarmord... hahahhahahhahaha, good gaffi will take that vibro and crack it no problem

That "highest thing killed" was before the bleed nerfs, by the by, after that, id say anything above a Ns fencers cant "easily" solo.

So a master fencer/master smugler would kick some azz?

uhh, no.

Smuggler, is worthless essentially for pistol.

You have the mods of a Pistols 4 (or mstr ) marksman, smuggler gets no bonuses. medoker attacks, but no bonuses, the delay will kill you... plus no decent guns.

Best bet is climb the techniques, and speed tree of Pistolierre (0-0-4-4) Dx2's are good for close, repubs are good for further out, and Scout+stopping is great too.

Fencer isnt horrible for PvE .. with all the nice defensive bonuses it makes tanking quite fun, but sadly we cant really match up to Master Swordsman, or TKM, ah well .. its still fun

cay, you miss the point.

Fencer has all these great defenses, but cant really do damage aginst something with armor (most mobs now), FD + anything is just wickedly powerful, thats how I use to solo Axnava and elders
