Its stupid how unarmed 4 leads to professions like commando and smuggler I mean why not make an actual melee hybrid profession

I mean come on it says brawler not marksmen or whatever

so come on and give melee some hybrids like all the ones those ranged people get

Oelos Takushi: smuggler proud member of Oi and Smugglers alliance pilot..

Elalia Takushi: Dancer and rebel pilot and member of Oi
bring back TEras Kasi and the melee profs as expertise skills.. bring some fun and real diversification to SWG

Vibro-specialist: specializes in vibro- based weaponry and battles using armor-breaking techniques and high-powered attacks. high AP and light ham costs, relying heavily on a weapons vibro capabilities. new vibro-weapons like the Vibro-shiv

requires fencer 0040 and pikeman 0400

thats an idea. not the best but would be a hybrid

I think there should be a duel wielded class that can carry two blades, or another assassin class like a bounty hunter only more of a melee version.

Why not a scout brawler hybrid specialized in mounted combat? he could use specials while mounted and could make his mount attack while he's riding. Maybe coming from polearm and hunting?

interesting, though is the ability to use specials on a mount worth a profession of it's own? And how do you fill such a profession?

It might be cool also to get the ability to knock people off their mounts with your polearm in that possible scenario, stop people from escaping.

Another idea perhaps: a profession requiring master brawler that centres around everyone's so precious dual wielding? While I realise it sort of neglects pikemen and unarmed fighters, I propose it allows you to wield two one-handed swords at novice, a one-handed and a two-handed sword a few boxes onward (the advanced combat XP box I think), and two two-handed swords at Master.

The limitation on this is the weapon speed (representing it's weight). You will be allowed a grand total of speed 4 at novice, going up to 6 at master. So you will be unable to use your 2.5 speed curved sword and a 5.4 speed power hammer, but you will be able to use two lighter swords. A weapon like the Scythe should probably be discriminated against alltogether, because due to it's design is rather impossible to wield with one hand.

This profession is somewhat discriminating against people who want to have the heavy damage weapons like the power hammer, and in favour of people who enjoy using the samurai style quick curved swords. (like me, which is probably why I came up with it )

the mounted-combat hybrid would really rule, i think that idea is great since mounts need to have an advatage since speeders are faster. A cavalry type lancer who would actually excel on a dewback would be really fun to play. What would the pre-req skills be? Nov Pikeman and Nov CH?

the hybrid i thought of would actually be a mix of melee and ranged and would have its own set of weapons.

1) Vibro-boomerangs that could be used like a machette up close, and then thrown in various ways to pop someone kiting or to innitiate combat from afar likea rifleman. Special moves could include a richochet that bounces between all available targets, or sending the boomerang in a circle around the user like a whirling shield.

2) A whip-spear segmented in parts so when it is whole, it can be thrust and swung like a polearm, then when the parts are seperated (conected by a chain/wire) allows for a whiplike pistol-range snap. Same idea as above, to mix up the ranges the fighter could use. I was inspired by the soulcalibur character ivy for this one although her weapon is a sword.. same principal.

I like the title 'gladiator', since the flashy weapons would probably be used in area shows of brutality, rather than an efficient but boring balster for footsoldiers. Master Marksman and Master Brawler might be the pre-reqs.

or how about just makeing all melee classes have a sub profession to mastering 1 weapons such as Master Curver sword, like a unlocked 100% use of the sword give it more dmg/speed/speical tech...blah blah.

That way you wont have to change the game too much, you can keep everything you got not STIll in the game, and it can be fair for everyone.

* even rang fighters can have sub profession too, such as Laser Master(carbineer)* and so forth

that would require way too many new animations, because most weapons don't make sense to be swung the way that they are in their current profession. Not even our devs can get away with making an entire profession where you swing your sword as if it were a hammer when you don't have the option of doing that move with a hammer. I'd personally much prefer a more logical division of weapons instead of hammers and swords and axes all in one, but the required work is very substantial.

I like the Master Brawler...Master Scout idea...tie it in to a Melee BH but how would it tie in to the SW feel of the game..if there is one?
