Thread: Dual Wielding Swords
sorry for messing up with the posts.
This may have already been adressed, but will fencers be able to dual wield?
Which definition of Fencer does this go against? It really is a very personal distinction, the art or practice of attack and defense with the foil, épee, or saber is what the dictionary told me, and whilst traditional olympic version tend to only use the one hand I see no reason not to use two at once. (IIRC there was an advert on BBC with a duel wielding fencer just recently... looked very cool)
Personally I think it could only add to the elegance, skill and verve of the fencing class, but it should be carefully implemented with appropriate bonuses and penalties to attack and defence & HAM.
Although what would happen if you held a gadderiffi and a stun baton... that not my vision of a fencer.
The other argument is we are one-handed not two, well I think for this case I shall interpret that as the weapons we can use are one handed, not the we can only use one hand at a time ![]()
I think instead of making it two swords which could be over-powered, make just one weapon be two swords at once and make the attack and HAM on par with other weapons but when equipped it just has the look of holding two at once. It would keep things balanced and give those who like the look of two swords at once what they need. It would also keep you from using a stun baton and gaderiffi baton at one like someone else mentioned.
