Thread: The final Weapon for a Fencer. Should it be changed?

Hey guys.


I was looking at the brawler professions thinking about how i could make my character the best and happen to notice that well... The final weapon was a stun baton... Whats with that?? if you guys feel like i do and think it should be changed pleased post here. Im not complaining im just pointing out the obvious. Shouldn't they have soemthing like a rapier or something?

a raper?!? negative, how bout they switch curved sword stats with gaffi baton though

the stun baton is a major benefit to those who think their composite armor will keep them safe. no complaints here.

i too would like to see the curved and gaffi switched. but that's personal taste, and i don't even care enough to ever put it on a list of issues unless it was an empty list.

people are starting to get stun lairs put into there armor so stun batons are alot less affective. I would like curved swords stats to be switched with the gaff and AP1.

Most of the weapons for the melee classes are unimaginative. A heavy swordsman using a hammer is ludicrous. A fencer using mostly non-fencing type weapons is equally unbelievable.


Since these professions have been incorporated into the game they should have made more of an attempt to be true to them.


Example for Fencers:


Rapier, Sabre, Cutlass, VibroRapier, VibroSabre, VibroCutlass


Medieval fencing weapons given a Star Wars techno-feel. The Gaffi stick, Stun Baton and VibroBlade leave me very uninspired and the curved sword is just not that good.

i just want to see weapon smiths have the ability to make all of the weapons that are in the game and make some new ones

Comp can't have stun protection I don't think.


And with 90% comp running around on Ket, pistoleer/fencers are keeping the balance of weapon vs armor lol.

No way Ryyk Blade, Gaffi switch would be a hell of alot better thent his.

they should make stun stats 200-350 dmg with medium armor piercing and 25% chance to stun per attack

yeah, and they can call it a launcher baton. and then we can run around in the same sets of composite armor with the same weapon, and seeing all our mirror images, we'd know how cool we are.

No, it is affected by resists just like every other damage type. Composite no layers vs. stun baton == dead Composite. Composite stun layer vs. stun baton == dead fencer.
