Its a sword aint it ?

Ok its a bit of a special sword, but all you gota do is press the button and swing it about a bit ?

Im not bothered about the force bit I just wana have a go on a lightsaber

then take up 2-handed sword

Someone else explained in another topic (don't remember if it was in this forum or not) that even if we already had sword skills, we would need to completely retrain ourselves in out to use the lightsaber simply due to the weight (or lack of) of the weapon. If your used to swinging around a 5 - 10 pound sword and switch to one that is almost weightless...you're going to end up overcompensating on your swings and end up hurting yourself.

5-10lbs, for a fencers sword? Wow, I guess using WS's that make them from lead is kind of a problem

Are jedi's the only people who can use these weapons?

Id love to see a type of fencer weapon that somewhat looks like a lightsaber but no way has the same dmg or speed. and it should only be optainable once u get the duelist title

Its not a matter of weight. Its a matter of balance. Offhand I'd say that you'd prob'ly need TKM for body control, master Fencer for basic technique, plus some kind of 3rd elite skill treewhich would combine the two while also requiring you to learn advanced techniques so that you could utilize the lightsaber effectively. Of course none of this matters because (1) no such tree exists and (2) only jedi can make lightsabers and they're untradeable items

lol in the game guide there was a bothan with a 1h lightsaber thats what made me a fencer, then i found out i get a black stick after workin to novice

That would be the dumbest idea ever....think about every one running around with lighsabers!!

from what i understand form the novels using a lightsaber and a normal sword is like night and day. Because of the way a lightsaber is designed it requires acertain amout of force control to sue due to the weight and the way it is designed. I remebr it stated In one novel that a nn force users whould be more likely to cut themselves up than anythign else. Cant remember which book tho.

i played the phantom menace video game, and rogues were using "light saber daggers", and duel wielding them...

Use a client side file swap to change your curved swords into sabres.

Forget LightSaber, how about a sword made out of a certain type of metal that even the lightsabar can not pierce... A sword that could restand the strength of the light sabar... the sword that wouldnt get cut in half if it was touched by the light sabar... Now that my friend would be worth it...
