Thread: Take the dodge cap off us.

It is getting silly out there.
I faced up with a master pikeman who had this axe, that set me on fire and it had health and mind dots on it. with a speed of 3.5 and max hit of 1200.
He showed it off to me in the trade window after our duel, I wish I screened shot this thing, its a dream weapon.
My Janta knife has the exact same attack speed and has mind and health dots on it. But it max hits for 40 and doesn't set anyone of fire.
If other professions can have uber weapons, give us back our dodge.
Fencing isn't designed to absorb hits, it was designed to evade them.

I refer you to Kottonmouth's weapons. He out-ubers every pikeman I'm aware of.
Were you around before defensive stats capped? Players were literally unhittable. The game is better off without a Godmode.

its still somewhat doable with melee def but of course not with dodge, not that it matters only takes 1 uber dot to land for u to be in twaaaaable.

What about tkm? what do we have? or other proffesions we dont get anything new either dodge wouldent effect use but making it harder to kill you. There are very good looted fencer weapons out there with DoTs and you can get acklay for nice damage weapons? so whats your problem here? If your dodge caps get removed tkms accuracy and damage should be to or def vs stuff

since when??? one of the best PvP prof's is TKM/ Master fencer/ 0040 pistol rest medic.
other that comes to mind is M rifles 0040 pistol/Master fencer/ medic.
this is barring any uber weapons and 1st is actually more well rounded where a jedi would own 2nd

I don't agree with taking the dodge cap off, maybe raising it slightly. You can't dodge everything.

take the dodge cap off, but add a cap per type of armour (hopefully this will be in the CU ;-)
No armour = no cap
Scout armour = 125 cap
Battle armour = 75 cap
Assault armour = 25 cap
or something like that
of course they may replace dodge with something compeletly diferent lol

Ridiculous DOT weapons are why this game sucks.

I've only recently come back to the game and have been unaware of the dodge cap. What is it capped at? Is it like Melee and Ranged Defense, capped at +120?
And as far as DOT's go, they were the reason I left the first time and the reason I'll only play second fiddle now in PvP. They are overused and not cohesive to the overall SWG image or concept of the GCW. I don't care what excuses there are, I did not see a DOT or anything that might have represented a DOT in the StarWars movies. Just my two cents. Thanks.
