Thread: Fighting methods;
Honestly, I'm getting my ass kicked by Piket Plains Walkers. Not really - I can kill them, but it takes a lot of heals and a lot of close calls. My question is, what special attack do you guys use? I've been using one-hand hit 2, and one hand health hit.
What spices/foods do you use? I don't have access to buffs (I'm really poor, so I can't pay for 'em, and I don't know many doctors). I have -access- to a master doctor account, but i can never get her and my char on at the same time ![]()
Just wondering; spices/foods/special attacks?
Can you pull the pikets/other monsters from the group so they don't help eachother in any way?
Just wondering how to lessen the load for myself, so I can start getting the great XP I always hear about.
Thanks a ton,

my advice: either get buffs or get armor (9.3k per mission means they will pay for themselves)
healthhit1 (or 2, however high up you are). intimidate (saves your butt and your armor). blind (keeps them from hitting you). now if you have armor and no buffs, let the standard combat loop kill it. if you have buffs and no armor, 1hand hit2 over and over.
that's what i usually do, but i prefer huurton huntresses, and i either get full buffs or whip out my 70% kinetic resists ubese
Buffs... pay for them when you can, you will be able to do enough missions to more than pay for them. Pikets pay 9k per mission & Bols pay 7k per mission, so one mission will pay for the MD buffs which normally run for about 6k and last 1 to 2 1/2 hours.
I have done Pikets & Bolswithout MD buffs but it is not easy. Muon Gold is good but you will as you are finding have to heal alot. I more prefer to use Pixie Dust along with Ormachek food when I don't have doc buffs.
As for actually fighting:
CoB, 1h lunge then quickly 1h health 1 & 2, Blind, intimidate, 1hbody hit3
Keep CoB up and blind/intimidate as you can but if they aren't sticking DON'T waste your mind on them but instead keep the CoB up & let the bleed do it's work while you do normal melee hits doing the occasional 1h body hit as HAM allows.
The 1h lunge will hopefully get them to kneel the first time allowing you to get a really good hit in with the bleeds.
Other things to consider... good curved sword or better yet a gaffi stick, then get them sliced with a hopefully nice dmg slice.
That's all I can think of atm.
As far as armor goes, I have an almost complete set of Ubese armor, so that's fine. Now, intimidate - I thought that was brawler? No? I'll give it a shot.
I'm only 1/2/0/1, if that. I have one hand hit, one hand health hit. No body hits yet. Oh well. Alright, so intimidate should help, I'll give that a shot. Pixie dust and some food, I'll give that a shot. Anymore hints? I'm looking for anything ![]()
by the way, whoever was trading herbivore meat for doctor buffs - what server is that on? I have a TON of herbivore meat from doing bolle bols all the time.
TATOOINE SUNBURN(drink) +1500 to STRENGTH(specials will cost no health ham.. even when in comp armor) and +1500 to STAMINA(action pool recharges mega fast) -93 to FOCUS (read below)
RYSCHCATE(food, eat2 at a time) +300 to Condition, Quickness, Focus (+600 when eat2) will remove negative effect from the sunburn.. PLUS add way less special costs.. pretty much removes the high special costs while wearing armor.
with these foods i can spin attack/bleed/1handhit3(or whatever) for QUITE some time. when iw as lvling fencer i used these too chef items and i could take down quite a bit.
note: bleeds are mass ownage. bleed every target that is aggro'd on you and then either focus one of them at a time or spin attack like no other both ways work.
Tatooine Sunburns and Ryschcate sure sounds like a good combo. Will have to try those myself. Good to have if you can't find a Master Doc or Master Dancer/Musician. Hope I can find some on my server![]()
Breath of Heaven is better than ryshcate, but i dont know if you can double up on it. personally i use ryshcate if i'm not buffed.
if i am buffed i use muon and then fishak when the muon wears off (if it wears off in the middle of a fight)
intimidate is a novice brawler skill - intimidate2 (which i use) is a master brawler skill. i rarely use warcry because of the HAM costs in armor outweigh the damage i do/take in that time (esp if it doesn't stick the first time)
Umm ...
You should get smarter. You can't simply attack any white/yellow/red and expect to come out unscathed. Especially when the mob is social and come at you in masses. You gotta get strategic. I mean seriously, you won't make it up to master without using some brain cells.
I mean come on. Buffs, Armor, etc? It's no rocket science, people.
