Actually, let me say a couple more things, defend myselfa little more, then I'll leave this issue alone.

A) Why do you assume I maybe underaged? How old are you? Ever thought about this is about style rather than maturity?

Yes style If I want to be friends with a dude/male, then I'll will approach him male-to-male exchanges (of course without /kiss etc)

If I want to be friends with a female, then of course LIKE REAL LIFE, I would flirt with her, but not with a guy!

I don't know about you guys, but I am 100% straight (I don't dis Homo whatsoever though, I am A democrat) and I like games to be social for Real for once!

So, you say this isn't Real Life, it's a game, thus Real Life social doesn't apply. That's your problem there I think!

Oh I know, make them submit their drivers liscnece number, wait no they could use someone else. Oh, i guess you think we should have to enter in our entire personal history with a copy of our birth certificate and a valid social security card before we sign up for the game. Look, i have friends who are guys and play female characters because they think that the fmelae modles have better graphics, lok cooler, have more variation, etc. Are you suggesting SOny or LucasArts should ban these people? What are your suggestions for fixing your so called problem? You whine about but provide no ideas for others to help you.

I'll try to explain this as best I can without resorting to any further flaming on my end since you seem to be making a valid attempt to describe your reasoning.

1) Calling them "Homo" is "dissing Homo". It's the equivalent of saying **edit** or Jap... while it may be used as a shorter form of the word, it's still generally meant in an offensive tone. And being democrat has nothing to do with being offensive toward gay people or not.

2) People think you're young because generally adults do not participate in the sort of behavior you condone. You very well could be an adult, but if you act like a kid you will be treated like a kid. Not necessarily a bad thing, but in this case you think it is...

3) A majority of adult players do not believe that a MMORPG is an appropriate place to pick up on the opposite sex. It's a role-playing game, not a singles chat room. If e-dating is booming, then we would prefer if it boomed away from our games. It's disruptive to our gaming sessions and makes many male and female gamers feel uncomfortable.

In fact, I know several women who will no longer play female characters in online games because they're tired of being the target of sexed up male players looking for a thrill or a long-distance girlfriend. It may not seem like you are harassing them, but when they have to deal with every other male player trying to pick up on them it becomes harassment and MMORPG's are simply not the place for it.

And it doesn't matter if you say you respect women and if you don't talk about sexual things to them and so on. It's still not right that you're looking to pick them up.

Hopefully this has cleared up the reasons why people get so irritated when others start complaining about the player behind the female character not being a women. In the scope of this game it shouldn't matter in the least unless you're looking to participate in an activity that we do not approve of in MMORPG's.

But, this proves something that I've suspected for quite some time.....that ALOT (notice I did not say ALL or MOST) liberals / democrats are misinformed about alot of different issues....this "anti gay republican" thing being one of them.....

Very simple solution...Ask them if there a rl female before you try to flirt ...?

1)Most honest people will tell you straight up.....2)you can get to know someone a bit while being nice without having to flirt right away.....3) if your seriuosly approaching this GAME (remember this is a video game) with the PURE INTENTIONS of finding romance ....I seriously think your barknig up the wrong tree

Here's how it is. It's a MMORPG. The RP means ROLE PLAYING. I play a female dancer, but I'm a guy. (not going to saywhich character on which server, causes too many problems) Why? Because I don't like the way some of the moves look when a male avatar executes them. Secondly, I'm role playing. Don't assume that because my character is flirting with yours that I am flirting with you. You being a general address; not flaming anyone in particular. I don't feel like scrolling back to see who said it,but they were right. SWG is not the place to hook up for an online romance. You never know what you'll end up with.
