Its a rp thing. I don't see anything wrong with it, and I am sure that the female characters would get better tips and more xp from people watching.

It is not that uncommon, in some games, shadowbane for instance, some classes are female only. So if you wanted to be a fury, for example, you would HAVE to be a woman.

So, what's your point?

Well then...why not just walk in, watch them dance, say 'thank you', and leave? That's what normal people do. Frankly, it's kind of creepy to be getting that "up close and personal" with anyone in a game like this.

And on a parting note, after reading some of your posts, I think the fact that you personally would not do something is perhaps the best possible reason to do it.

On the internet, nobody knows your a dog.

If you never know what the gender is on the other side of the computer, why on earth should you care? That's what real good role-playing is all about.

I used to play a male and a female as my mains in EQ. It was a lot of fun - I got to flirt with *everybody* but I was careful to keep my genders straight. Well, in character anyway.

I know I'm gonna be called names of one sort or another - such is the penalty for posting why I do what I do - but I play chicks in SWG because I like looking at the way they walk. I'm married, irl, so I'm not a pathetic looser - I just think the devs did a wonderful job at making the chicks look hot. I'd rather see my human female scout shake herbooty while running through the wilderness, or my rodian chick shake her groove-thang while dancing around than a male doing the same thing.

I don't get caught up in all the 'sims online' thing that you either did or fear doing - that's taking it a little far - but I do appreciate eye candy - even cartoonish virtual eye candy.

Meh - I'm weird... or I'm like the rest of you, but can own up to why we play chicks

This is the thing. I don't have any female SWG characters at the moment, but I'm sure at one point I will. In fact, I'm considering making a somewhat rotund mother earth chef type character on one of the servers. Just cuz it would be fun. That's the only reason. However, this is supposed to be a GAME, where you play a character in Star Wars. Heck, when I was a kid, I used to be the Princess Leia action figure from time to time. But, I didn't go around boinking my friend's Han Solo action figure. There are so many other venues to try to find a mate, even online...chat rooms, internet dating, what have you. When I come onto SWG my goal is to have fun and play a game, not find a boyfriend or girlfriend. And, if that is someone's express purpose in playing a game, then maybe they should try Sims Online or something like that. It just makes no sense to me that somebody would buy this game in the hopes of finding online romance. In fact, it takes away the whole "gaming" atmosphere to me, because you're no longer role playing, you're trying to do something real. And, as I said, there are many other, better ways to go about doing that, and I really don't enjoy playing with people that are after the romance factor--unless it's strictly RP, and then I care not who is playing the other character. But, quite frankly, I don't think I'd even try it in the first place.

no one here played a rouge in Diablo? or an amazon or sorceress in Diablo II?

No one here played Metroid?

It's a video game, it's not real. What about women who played Super Mario Bros.? Are they trans gender cause they're playing as men?

Wow, it's a disturbing thought how many females in the game are actually males!

Sad to hear, majority of people posted in this thread anyway, are NOT taking meeting friends/socializing Seriously!

Well yes, I'll be honest. I never want to meet the people controlling the characters I meet in game. The people controlling them should never enter my mind. Perhaps it is possible that I would be incredibly intruiged by someone's personality or something, and want to at least talk to them in IRC...but to make real life friends is just a heck of a lot easier in real life, not via the internet. But net-buddies are whatever are cool, I have loads of those Wouldn't tell them about sincere personal issues, but they know what goes on in my life for the most part. Don't mean to judge anyone who DOES meet people IRL from the net, but I think I'm just too shy for that.
