Thread: To Guys pretending to be females
Why do you even CARE. What's the point? You're not trying to hook up with anyone in game are you?
Sheesh ![]()
Rockin'! Let's all play your favorite game show and mine... Choose The Loser!
I give you a list of possible losers and you choose the one who is the biggest loser of them all!
Ready? Then let us begin!
Choose The Loser:
a) A male playing a female character.
b) A player using an online RPG as a place to meet women.
I think we all know the answer to this one folks!
MutantX ..... look at the2nd sentancein your sig...nuff said. I have played many MMOGs and have seen alot of things. Problem is is people dont understand "Role play". I played pen and paper versions of diffrent RPGs ( It amazing the kind of ppl who can atualy get into that) and played male/female/neuter. There are many reasons to have an avatar of diferent sex than you. I made a fem Twiliek dancer...why? HAVE YOU SEEN MALES DOING THE FLOURISHES????????? If you are homophobic I'd think that would bug you more. After playing AO for 2 years I made a female char....why? I WAS SICK OF LOOKING AT MALE CHARACTER BOOTY FOR 2 YEARS!!!!!!!! It seems your problem is just looking at females as objects rather than personalites (I't took me many a failed relationship to learn that though so dont take this as all preachy). Like a previous poster said...dont even think about the person sitting at the comp... that 8 ft tall 300lb wook that just kicked your butt in pvp might be a 5'5" goddes in RL. And that sweet little dancer chick your hitting on could be a homosexual/tranny trying to get his rocks off. Or It might be like me 25 year old male Ex-ARMY student wanting to play a dancer on a difrent server when my main chracters sever is down just for the hell of it and thinks you are a fool for comming onto somone with pathetic pickup lines before even saying "hi"
Lighten up...this isnt star wars counterstrike ...role play (god forbid right) and only take into the game what you want of yourself and make up the rest... you'll have more fun that way.
BTW if you are a male dancer...umm sorry bout what i said about the fourishes but sheesh that kind of dancing is a lil less than manly
lol
Hey we didn't make the animations!
....only four levels of dancing......you can do it wemi! ![]()
Wow, it's ironic that I came across this thread today. Last night I actually created a Twi'lek Medic/Entertainer under the specific pretense of her being female and being cute. Why?
- Because I'm getting bored with my male Wookie Scout/Marksman/Brawler and the grinding involved.
- I wanted the challenge of playing a female from the RP aspect.
In the good old days of D&D (yes, I'm that old), I usually limited my self to playing a male half-elf ranger because that is what I enjoyed and interaction is limited to your DM and the fellow players. There was a "face-to-face" interaction there and we even had some guys play female rogues that used there sexuality to gain advantages from NPCs and PCs alike. We all thought it was funny because he was really good at utilizing the female qualitites to his benefit. I am planning on doing the same thing in SWG. My Twi'lek will be an aspiring doctor during the day and a seductive dancer at night to relieve the tension gathered through all the suffering she sees on a daily basis. I think it's a great background for a character and that is the reason why I am doing it.
As for "hooking up" with other players. Well, I met my wife on ICQ and we have been happily married for two years with a beautiful son (All right, I'm a little biased.) So I'm not against developing relationships with fellow gamers. I actually did my Senior Seminar in Psychology as an undergrad on the social value of the Internet and how online experience plays a variable in it. But I think that maybe you are barking up the wrong tree if you are trying to make a "love connection" in real life through SWG. This is a game meant to allow people to live out Star Wars and the part they want to play in it, not a convention for Star Wars fans that want to chat. I am actually going to make a PA in the future with a local buddy of mine who plays and try to get other players from the area to join. If it proves successful, then we will probably get together a couple of times a year to hang out and share experiences or tips. Is my wife worried that I may want to have tails implanted on my head or that I am going to leave her? No, she's more worried that I will begin to smell like a wookie if I don't stop playing as much and start bathing more often. ![]()
Well, this is enough of my mindless babbling for one sitting. But just remember if you see me shaking my bootie and flirting with you in the cantina, it's for the credits in your pocket and not the thing in your pants.
The problem, Jedi, is that you aren't thinking of the character, but you are trying to think of the person controlling that character. There's a difference, especially on an RP server. If you are more concerned with who is playing the role, try IRC or something where you can get to know actual people, instead of RPed characters.
You know Bart Simpson is a woman? No, he's not, he's a guy...the actress may be female, but the character is very much male.
Credits, *sigh* Credits is easy, though, I think
Man, just learn be musician and goto Guild: Theater and do those missions, or any easy delivery missions, or crafting things and sell it wisely...
You definately needn't to pretend to be a hot babe to hook a load of those!
Why do you even CARE. What's the point? You're not trying to hook up with anyone in game are you?
Sheesh
As for this question, yeah, there is this girl (or I think she is) is very friendly with me,
If she IS really female, all good
. Otherwise, why do I bother?
"If she IS really female, all good
. Otherwise, why do I bother?"
So your standard for hooking up with someone is: female. ??? lol
???
What? I definately make male friends, but when you are pretending a female and /kiss me a half dozen timesthen I'd be disturbed.
