The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Entertainer Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Entertainer in the Subject Line and include your SWG handle in the message. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

Don’t get too attached to the title though; In the interest of well-rounded feedback, once a month we may select a new correspondent. Please do not take that personally, we just want to be fair and give other people an opportunity.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues of the profession.

Well if NewJedi has to quit as Musician Correspondent, and since he hasn't been Entertainer Correspondent...

I haven't seen any message like this in musician forum, only here since the ent correspondent quit over two weeks ago... I wouldn't mind them letting NewJedi stay on for a while.

Hehe, thanks for the vote of confidence, guys. (/blush) I'm quite happy being the Musician Correspondent, and I hope the devs let me stay awhile, even as I understand that the position isn't permanent. The Correspondent program won't really get into full swing until the devs hire the new Community Rep, and I'd like to be around to interact with that person when he or she arrives.

Anyway, I'm glad the devs are seeking aseparate new Entertainer Correspondent. I am a Master Entertainer, and I've lurked and posted in this forum a bit, but Entertainers have their own interests (distinct from those of Musicians) and need to be represented separately.

Well best of luck to whoever takes the job but so far dont see where it made any difference. Higher level dances are crappy as only two - three flourishes plus still fall just as much. Does anyone really listen to concerns of anyone but fighter types? NO. Whoever designed our dances went kind of out of the way to make us look ridiculus...should of made a comedian as profession. Sorry to sound like I am dissing but so far have not seen any positive answers to our concerns anyway...should say any answers really. My opinion is correspondent is position made to take heat off devs etc...as then correspondent gets the complaints from customers with no answers or fixes from staff to return to customers.

Yes, the new animations added were silly. At least new animations were added! And sometimes we have to stick feet in our mouth for whining when we do not have all the information on what we whine about.

The animations were hand drawn, and YES the are going to be replaced with fully mo-capped moves.

Guys, I still need an entertainer correspondent... I didn't get a single app in that mail!

Any suggestions or people who feel they're appropriate?

I'll take the job, just to have a title besides New Player.... it doesn't matter then I'm not an Entertainer per say does it? I mean I entertain people with my sarcastic posts and generally crazyness (this being a perfect example)

Seriously though, does kind of show that the entertainer class needs work.
I know several and are all nice people, though very disenfranchised with their profession.

i wouldn't mind doing it, I'm just not a very good e-mail person........

To be honest, I wouldn't mind being the entertainer correspondent, but that objectively identifying relevent issues as opposed to passionate arguments is a hard one.

If someone is passionate about something, I'd say it's pretty relevant. I don't know that I can be unbiased on some issues.
