Entertainer Archive

So after 4-5 months of being away 3 days ago I re-activate my account, hoping that most of the problems from back then were mostly taken care of. Logging back on and seeing that I had some mind wounds and BF I head to the nearest cantina. Well this is ...... strange..... a group of about 20 various entertainers. It seems about 2 of them are actually there. I decided to try a couple of my other old haunts. One had no one. Another had 2 AFKers with an AFK Doctor. I spent/spend most of my time scouring the wilderness hunting resources and with very little contact with other PCs. It was one of the really bright spots in my day to visit a semi-busy cantina with real people and converse for a bit.

Now I know this has been a problem from day one but now it seems near-impossible to find actual people in a cantina. My question is where are all the REAL entertainers at? I'm on Eclipse but I'm sure a lot of other people on all servers are interested in knowing where they can find the dedicated dancers/musicians/entertainers. So if you don't mind could some of you post your normal performance locations so that some of us can attend regularly and appreciate what appears to be a dying art?

I'm pouring my faith into the Jedi system revamp. Before the holo-grind craze, Cantinas used to be a blast... now... it's bad... with the revamp, I for one am hoping for a return to the old-days.

Most of the long-time entertainers either left the game in frustration, left the profession in frustration, or else started performing in private player cantinas. You just have to find out which player cantinas on your server cater to a more "active" crowd. On Eclipse, you could try Club Memor on Dantooine, or the Nightlighter on Tatooine.

On Bria, it's much the same. In my player city (Corsair Isle) there's usually either a few entertainers there or ones within calling range. While it's hardly a "band" playing, player are taking note that they can find a reliable source of healing and buffs here, and there are enough regulars to keep things fresh and entertaining.

If you are looking for ATK entertainers on Bria checkout our cantina inVeritas on Naboo (as Kirah just mentioned). There are actually 2cantinasthere. The place thats hopping is called Luna. Since a lot of us are US (EST etc.) the place is usually pretty active in the evenings. Last night we had 3 Master Dancers (sync dancing is a joy to behold), a Master Musician, a Master Entertainer and some up and coming talent. We even had the Mayor/Guild leader strutting her stuff Ents get to know one another pretty well so we tend to mix it up a bit and keep our audience happy. While we cant promise that many ATKers all the time there usually enough to please. Buffs are never a problem .....err one thing /whisper....we are a Reb city....so if your Imp....you better come covert

I totally love my profession. I am always in search of additional ways to add to my entertainment act or improve my cantina. When I do go to the public cantinas, I still interact with the people there but the customers go afk just as much as the other entertainers. Not all of us are AFK in the cantinas, public or private.

Our city is doing pretty well. We usually have a few people in the cantina (shameless plug for the House of the Rising Sun onDantooine / Tarquinas at Lake Cassini)getting buffs, chatting, grinding a holocronskill, orshopping from a vendor. We have several entertainers that love to entertain. Of course, having two hot tubs, poker machines, a cage, lap dance couches, poles, etc., makes it even more fun!

I'm still here, but it is getting harder. Last night my PA-mates and I went to Dathomir, and we crowded into the little tavern there and had a pre-hunt party-and-buff-session that brought back memories of the first days after launch. The musical and social aspects of my profession can still be very rewarding, but the rewards come less and less often.

The devs do have some interesting things in the works for entertainers, but I fear it will take a long while for it to get here.

I had given up Master Entertainer but have decided to take it back up. I should have all my requirments back by the end of the weekend I have missed my Mando

I'm in it for the long haul. Still fighting the good fight, dancing when I can, and having fun most importantly.
