Thread: The Path To Jedi For Entertainers
- Healing
- Surveying
- Persuation
- Luck
In addition, the only types of XP that can be traded in for FS Senses XP are:
- Creature Handling XP
- Image Designer XP
- Musician XP
- Dancing XP
- Entertainer Healing XP
- Scout XP
- Survival XP
- Medical XP
- Surveying XP
- Merchant XP
- Slicing XP
- DNA Sampling XP
So, baring the unlocking quests, it's possible for usEntertainers to get 2/3 of the boxes needed for Jedi (16 out of the 24 needed).
Soit takes 1,225,000 XP to climb to Box 4 in one tier (not counting the Novice boxes, which take another 50k XP). That's24,500,000 Musician/Ent Healing XP to convert over. It takes combat classes36,750,000 XP (that's36 million) to climb to Box 4 in one of their Tiers. And we get to have music while we grind ![]()
As for the quests, you're going to have to pick up some other skills on the side to do them. Namely Medic and Artisan to unlock the Senses tree and Artisan to unlock the crafting tree OR a combat class to unlock the Reflexes/Combat trees since you need another 2 tiers outside "our" tree. If you were lucky enough to master a Holo, you get one free "Unlock" for each Holo you mastered if you've also mastered a certain number of other professions. This should allow you to skip the unlock quest, but you still need to grind the XP.
And amazingly, we DO get FS skills. Each box in the Healing Tier adds +5 to Wound Healing (Music) and Wound Healing (Dancing). Unfortunately, Image Designers get the shaft. It would've been nice to see a skill that lowered the timer in theID window. While it's not that great, it's something.
NOTICE: The XP conversion ratios are subject to change before this hits Live.

I sure hope you're right, but I have doubts. I mean think about it - what other professions can you leave macroing all day long while you're at work or school to continue gaining xp?Experience that can then be turned in for this FS credit? Sheesh....the minute I read that I thought "OMG here come the seas of zombies again."

I don't expect there to be a massive influx of grinders because of this, mainly because there are many other types to get that'd be more appealing, such as Medical or Scout XP.

NIce job, SOE. Way to shoot us all in the foot.
Hologrind, meet FSgrind.
It's going to be another looooong year in the cantinas, I suspect. We've been had, folks.
I'm severely disappointed that I got the shaft in this process. Looks like they will further a damaging practice to our professions by replacing one type of grinding madness with another. What a joke. Truly sad.

The good news is many of the correspondents recognzed that it's just trading in one form of grinding for another, and are opposed to that, suggesting making it pure quest based. There is also a hefty opposition to the fact that getting in in the first place requires combat. That probably won't be as bad as some people expect (You get visited by the old man, you call in some friends to deal with the coming fight) but I'd rather see some non-combative way to get in.
The quests entertainers can do may be in different phase. As I understand it, the village has 3 "phases" it goes through, switching every 3 weeks. Each phase has a different set of quests. We should see things unfold as they move into testing different phases. Right now it's just phase 1.
- Combat
- Crafting
- Medic Healing
- Surveying
And yeah, to get that tier with our Wound Healing in it you need to pick up Novice Medic...unless there's some way to heal wounds in the village for us.
Of course, there are many, many things wrong with the Village on TC2...maybe they might add an Entertainer quest at the very end. Optimism ![]()
