I thought this would be a great way to break the ice for me and you all. Really I just wanted to make a thread that I could sticky.

Please post your top five (Rated T) Miss Tells from your in-game guild chat, spatial chat, private channel chat, etc.

In some instances it might be relevant to post the context of the MT too.

I MT all the time. I couldn't remember five of them well, so here are my top 4.

4) I often have 3+ conversations going, especially when I am tailoring in Theed. It isn't surprizing that I sent the /tell I don't have purple, but I have a light pink" to the wrong customer (Male Commando rather than Female Dancer).

3) I was talking with someone in groupchat when I hit Ctrl-R rather than Ctrl-G and added, "Tips suck today". You guessed it, the last person that had sent a tell was an entertainer customer.

2) I just sent a /tell to the leader of an entertainer guild asking for an invite and immediately got this back, "You have to take your shirt off to give it to me." I was scratching my head for a bit over that one.

1) I was a young character, diseased, and no docs were around. I was trying to let chubas kill me right outside of town so I could clone and end the dreaded disease. Novice medics kept coming by and healing my damage right before I would die. I accidentally /yelled into guildchat (first day in the guild), "Just let me die already!!!"

I make alot of MT's.... ask any entertainer who knows me. Sadly, I tend to forget them. So I am gonna have to check with the local "little birds" and see what I can dig up.

1. Well, one day in guild chat we were discussing combat. I have never been a proponent of armor. My guildmate asked me why... so I responded jokingly, "I like it rough." into the "ent".... That one took some explaining...

2. I originally created and ran ent chat since long before permanent channels. I continue to run and promote it to my best ability to this day. So, I am part of the group of young entertainers based out of Mos Eisley and I decide to see if they know about ent chat. So I MT into ent chat... "Does everyone here know about ent chat?"

I've been making my fair share of MTs lately (especially on Chilastra since in order to make my city chat work right I have to use /say for spatial). Like Doasa, I tend to "try" and forget them! LOL! And sorry, for those curious, Roho and I never, ever MT . . . besides, it wouldn't be rated "teen" if we did!

Okay, I can't say the actual mistell, because it's a little risque... not terribly so, but may be a little much for a 13 year old. I was dancing with Kaline in Coronet and I was flirting over tells, in character,with a male zabrak dancer. Suffice as to say, it was getting very suggestive, and at the same time I was chatting a little to my Dad, who also plays the game. I'm sure you can guess what happened.

I'm lucky that my father found it extremely amusing and understands roleplaying. Gah.

I had ONE mistell, early on in the game, that left me so embarrassed that I have never used /reply since then. EVER. However, my guild is notorious for guildchat mistells, some of which are sidesplittingly hilarious. I'm posting a picture of one that comes from a guildie of mine... warning, there is strong language, but it's absolutely not in the context that it might first seem. She was trying to tell someone that she was under attack, and... well, you can see for yourself here.

I never really mistell, but it happened once, with quite risque material. I was IDing someone with an old alt in Bestine's Salon and we were talking in groupchat about humans and wookiees being together. And instead of talking in groupchat, I said something rather naughty in public about what a human could do to a wookiee. Luckily, no one was around >.>;

my best one (only have one) was when i was buying a +3 ca for dancing enhancement. I haggled with a guy on a price and he mistelled to me this "LOL, I am gonna get his money and not give him it"

Most of mine, also, are not PG-13. Though once Miralin was being harrassed by a customer in the cantina, and as I was typing out her response (she curses like a sailor, and tends to be fairly violent when provoked, so he was getting instructions on precisely which weapons she was certified for, the types of damage they did, and whereabouts she intended to inflict said damage, and how, on this particular young man) , her man sent a tell so he got the reply instead of the annoying person. Knowing her, he laughed, told her that she was spending too much time in the cantina, and went about his night.

There have also been a couple occasions when the two of them were being flirty in tells and someone else barged in, inadvertently. I learned early on to type out /tell (character) instead of replying.
