Thread: Healing XP slowing to a snail's pace?

I've been an entertainer in some manner or fashion since launch and always I have filled the Entertainment Healing line faster than anything, the Wound and Battle Fatigue threads in the Elite, as well. Now it's pretty much ground to a screeching halt or hardly at all.

Noone seems inclined to group (probably because of the 8 group thing) or I'm not finding the injured people as much as there once was. I know that Battle Fatigue is almost non-existant since the CU. I'm getting a little discouraged.
(Granted, until they fix this stupid "Too-Far" bug, asking for a return to actual "battle" fatigue instead of death fatigue would probably be too much to ask.) Nevertheless, are others finding this entirely too slow now?

Many are respecing other professions to get healing levels. It's frustrating. Any suggestions on the best cantinas to gain healing xp? I'm on Starsider, Kettemoor and Bria, mostly. Help!

Devs, please throw us a bone here? I have never subscribed to the long whine that Entertainer was a tedious 'grind'. Nevertheless, it's become (not tedious) but frustrating.

As long as jedi can heal BF, you will find the draw of the crowd to wane.

They do it faster and better, because they can do it anywhere.

I have seen more jedi than entertainers on Bloodfin.

Yes healing experience is nearly non-existant. I even went to the Science outpost on dath to get the people running to the village. People came in from hours of combat and only had a few points of BF.

I only lacked one box in dancer since I fortunately had enough healing stored from MM to get 7 boxes. I finally realized that since master musician takes no XP to learn I could respec and drop that to get the healing box then simply spend 10k to retrain MM. Otherwise I would have filled all 8 dance experience boxes long before finishing that one healing box.

I'd like to know if anyone has been able to Master an elite entertainer profession since the CU, and not thru respec or by having enough healing from pre-CU. With the almost non-existant BF healing and the "too far" bug (that seems to be completely ignored by the DEVs) I fear the days of Master entertainers is over. As more people drop entertainer to pickup the now required combat professions and an inability to earn the huge amount of ent healing XP required few if any new masters will appear.

I'm having a great time working on Master Musician. This will be added to my Master ID, Master Dancer and Master Entertainer. I do not believe combat is now "required".

I get a good amount of healing XP. I have an easy trick. I'm at the keyboard and I talk to every person who comes into a cantina. They all stop to /listen to me. If they can't, I walk them through a /bug report and tell them how to /spam me until it "catches".

I've been making musician xp, healing xp, getting new customers and making plenty of creds. /giggle

For me...it's never been about the fast grind. It's the journey.

That's the way I've always thought. I have just as much fun and can Entertain just as well as a novice Entertainer as I can with a Quadruple Mastery. It's all aboutattitude, not skilltrees for me. Mastery gives me more skills, but the essence ofmy experience is the same.

It ispainful sometimesto see how slowly heal xp ticks up, but thats why we were given Inspiration buffs and the ability to gain xp while self buffing. In the future with the Entertainer revamp,I'm hoping we'llget even better ways to gain healing xp, wecould use it.

Oh with entertaining I'm all about the journey also. However the pace is too slow on healing experience. Each journey needs an end and one that is reasonable.

I have danced through two knowledge boxes and gotten about 2000 of the 125000 healing needed for the last box. I've danced and played as a master musician in Theed, MO dant, and SO dath. As a master musician who loves to play a variety of songs its easy to get listeners. It is tough as all get out to get listeners with much if any battle fatigue. Self buffing results in a whopping 30 experience each time so I would have to buff myself only 4,167 times to depend on that as a source of healing experience for one box. I got lucky in that I had maxed healing stored from my months as a master musician and could respec the last box. A new entertainer will take many months to level all the healing needed to get from novice entertainer to master dancer or master musician. I don't even want to think what a double mastery would mean.

It is far too low. I leveled master rifle, hunting casually and trading between toons in just a few weeks, easily under a month. The disparity in time to level and value from the skills is so out of balance as to be, once again, destructive to the entertainer professions.

All professions shoud ideallytake about the same time to master, so we'll have to see the average time it takes for the various combat people to master under the CU, then we'll know how much time the Entertainment professions should take. Right now, as you say, it could take months gain healing xp for Master Musician or Master Dancer, but Image Design can be done in what, three hours? All the Entertainmentmastery timesmust be looked at and reworked in our revamp so we match up with the other professions out there.

Right now it seems the only BF healing we really get is from pilots who are coming down to enjoy the ground game...so for healing xp, I've been hanging around in the cantinas near the major starports. It's still not fast, but it's not unbearable, either.

Less than two hours here, and that with occasional chatting.

I'm all about the journey, myself, however there is a point when the journey can be made a bit more tedious than it needs to be. It just rather bothers me that the Jedi have taken our battle fatigue healing, as well, that the battle fatigue itself is almost non-existant and that the inspiration buffs don't bring that much experience. It just seems that it doesn't need to be as tough as it is, now.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting towards master since the CU. I thought I might have master by the time the Starsider crawl came along (all ATK, mind) but now that I'm seeing how horribly slow the healing is going. I doubt I'll make it now.

Maybe it just doesn't seem so bad to me after:

1. Getting pissed off at the ID revamp (Publish 8), dropping that profession and then hand-grinding ID again (120 hours to remaster it), simply because I missed the profession.

2. I'm always having so much fun, I just don't pay attention to the grind.

YMMV, of course. Honestly, I don't care if it takes me another 6 months to master, as long as I'm having a good time.

I think you're kind of missing the point, really. I enjoy myself, too. I RP and have a good time doing the work but it shouldn't take a snail's crawl pace to do something because they've yanked the rug out from under us by dwindling the BF down to nothing and allowing the Jedis to heal off the rest of it. It just makes the work more slow than it needs to be.
