Thread: How many are going to stay as Entertainer/Dancer/Musician after this last Pub?

Just Curious on who is dropping their entertainer/dancer/musician because of this last publish. I will start it off
Aeros - Ahazi -Master Musician and Tk Student. Dropping it and becoming a Fencer, TK, and Doc4004. or maybe just dropping Tk and doing Pike/Fencer and doc

I havent decided yet.
It will all depend on what the timeline is for our rebirth in the game. And if the devs continue their ivory tower policy of not letting us know a timeline for this then I'll dump my 2 year master ent, master musician. I know full well how slow the devs are, especially post CU. I mean at the very least i need the toon to have a PURPOSE or USE in the game to keep him right?... thats not much to ask i dont think.
Obviously theres no use for Ents in SWG as it stands, the only real question is just how long is it going to take for them to give ents a purpose in the game again? Inspiration buffs dont cut it. Not by a longshot.

I started life in the galaxy as an entertainer and that is how I shall remain. I'm not dropping any of the professions I have worked hard to become master of.
I do however have a second account with a combat character so I can actually use the 99.9% of the game which my main character is now excluded from.

Intersting...I was just thinking about this though I am not an entertainer. But what role do these professions serve now? I always went to the cantina and listened or watched an entertainer to get my BF healed. Can you still give inspiration buffs?

Yes we can still Inspire, but i don't think that will be enough to draw people to us. i mean im not stopping my hunting to come back and do it, maybe ill get it before i go out hunting but half the time i will forget, and a group isnt going to wait while you come in for inspiration.\

I won't be dropping Master Ent, and I'll have to see how the new lines look to decide how to spec musician. I don't need all the instruments or all the songs. I'm 0/0/2/0 as of now, and since my droid has five songs on the bandfill learned, that's probably where I'll stay.
Oh wait, where is Swing learned?

Dejah Thoris will be deleted and the account cancelled before she ever stops being a dancer. Musician I could live without (even though I tend to do it more because there's usually no one to play music for me to dance to), but she was conceived as a dancer, has always been a dancer (2 years in a week) and will always be one till the day I cancel her account.
I might ditch the account... but I won't drop dancer. Not for her.

Well, I have a combat character that I play on one server who is a master smuggler/master bounty hunter. I won't be changing his template around anytime soon.
I have a master artisan, soon-to-be master tailor/merchant on another server that I play to take care of my crafting habit. I'm also planning to take up some architect to make furniture and some buildings. No plans to change that.
I just started an entertainer on another server, solely to be an entertainer. I still plan to play him to quad master, however long it takes. It's fun, and I don't intend to let them take that away

I had dropped Master Dancer, Master Musician, Master Entertainer, and Master ID shortly after I read that BF/Ent Healing would be removed; I had played a Dancer for two years.
That said, after trying my hand at the new brand of combat, I realized how much I sucked at it, so I am working back up the Dancer tree. D'oh! So I am going to hold off doing anything rash like dropping entertainer again until I see what their plans are, and whether there will be any use, game mechanics-wise, for entertainers.
