Thread: How many are going to stay as Entertainer/Dancer/Musician after this last Pub?

I read this post before logging in today. Before logging in it was bad enough knowing that there is little use for entertainers now that BF has been taken out of game. But since logging in, I found out that I lost all my extra dancing exp, musician exp, and cannot play all the instruments I used to be able to play. Needless to say I am very angry about this and don't know if I will play my entertainer anymore.

Well for fear that Sony gets the wrong opinion of this (if they even read this thread) I am no longer a dancer. I had a respec token left and now it's used.

For reference, during beta I used to post on this game as Vashiir forum username and Dani/Rio as the character I played. Two of the longest posts I ever made on ANY forum were about the entertainer and my problems with it back then - problems like AFK dancers and how there was little purpose to the profession save BF and BF seemed like an artificial mechanic. When the game went live, Rio was born on Eclipse.

Now? Now Rio does other things. I am enjoying TKM.

My wife's character Jaelie was a Master Dancer / Master Musician / Master Entertainer with Image Design on Ahazi, she is now a Combat Medic / Rifleman.

I think I've given enough time to the entertainer profession. I'll stick to Ahazi. There's only so much a person can tolerate. I've given some of my best prime-time gaming hours to sitting in front of a screen watching text scroll by and listening to Starwars 1... I'm done.

I'm not dropping my skills. I bought SWG to be an entertainer and an entertainer I shall remain.

I will most certainly be staying... I think this has more of a negative effect on former bots and afk dancers then dedicated atk dancers and I've still be able to enjoy the profession and get tips by entertaining rather then healing.

Gorath Toons:

Sti-fi: Master ID/Master Ent/Master Musican/Master Dancer. Never giving them up.
Yohai: Master ID/Master Tailor/Master Artisan with some merchant. Never giving up ID. Yohai was specifically created to do the costumes for the band that Sti-fi belongs to. So, as long as Sti-fi is around, Yohai will be.

Kettemoor:

Honeewoo: Master Dancer/Master ID/Master Ent and almost Master Musician. Never dropping them.
Ogeti: Slowly..very slowly...because Ent is so fun, she will be BH/Pistols

Starsider:

Titiari: Almost Master ID, might pick up Squad Leader for fun.

For now I remain hopeful that the "to be added soon" additional inspirations will replace what I feel I lost in this profession in the past few months. With all due respect to Jett there are plenty of us who were never bots and who never once danced while AFK (not even for a bio or kitchen break in my case) who chose this profession to be healers who danced or played music. For me it wasn't about getting tips (although it's always nice to have someone recognize your efforts by actually paying you). It was all about wanting a support role that allowed me to interact and feel a part of the community. Having an inspiration buff that many people still seem to be confused about as my single support role just doesn't come any where close to replacing healing mind wounds, battle fatigue, or providing a mind buff.

Atwhatever point in the future the new inspirations are revealedifthey aren't what I need to make my time fun then I have a token respec I can use. I'd probably respec to Master Doctor since that is probably the closest fit for what I want.
