you guys make me sick you set yourself to afk then leave with some macro on getting xp here xp there NO WORK while i sit ina hot tavern all day clicking flourish buttons cause i think you should work for xp not CHEAT and its sickening entertainer ARNT entertainers without the occassion joke or comment you cant macro THAT can you??? well!!!! WELL!!! WELL!!! $#%$#% next one i see ill challenge to a duel or somethin

This is my way to combat afkmacrotainers.

The people that know me know how much I really despise AFK Macrotainers, today as I was dancing in the cantina and thinking about things I made up a macro that I will now use when I invite new people into the group. I actually did this after 2 folks went afk.

/g This is my policy on AFK macrotainers, I will not group with or heal you. If someone goes AFK for more than 30 minutes I will boot you from the group.When you return and are actually at your keyboard you are welcome torejoin the group. If you choose to AFK Macrotain I cannot stop you but I don't have to support you. I'm sorry if this upsets you but you can choose not to group with me. Thank you.

So after I booted the two folks that went AFK for a long time and subsequently a third person, I very politely sent them an email explaining that I'm sorry but I don't support AFK macrotainers and if they returned to the keyboard they would be welcome to rejoin the group.

All three sent me emails apologizing, one was logging for work and moved to a side room, one logged completely after the apology and one rejoined the group and happily danced with us for quite awhile. At no time was I nasty or mean (altho this week I've entertained thoughts of parking my kitty on a certain afkmacrotainer who has decided to frequent our cantina ) and I was pleasantly surprised by the emails I got back from them.

It was also interesting because everyone of the people in the group stated that they agreed with my comment and liked my stand.

Are they going to implement slower xp gain for afk peeps?. I had heard somehting on this.

Y'know, I for one am thankful to see an entertainer, afk or not, dancing on Dathomir whenever I come back with 400 BF.

I posted on my forum last tuesday when my weekend started that I was willing to travel anywhere if a entertainer was needed, I waited all weekend for a mail or /tell so I guess we really are not needed on those adventure planets, 2 guys responded on the forum that they'd mail me ingame, but the only mail I got was the location of a tailorshop from someone I talked to.

afk en tertainers, like macro-masters are allowed by SOE and even encouraged. it makes me sick but oh well, this is what SOE wants. can i macro-pay my fees everymonth?

I'm not an entertainer, I am a bio-engineer. It can be a lonely profession for the simple factthat no one wants to sit around while I dna sample for hours on end so I'm solo most the time doing that. Now when I come into a cantina to rest up, seeing 8 entertainers there is cool, but when I start to talk and not get a response because they are all afk, that sux. If that's not bad, some have actually begged for tips in the macro, I don't think so, I never tip an AFK entertainer, I give the non afker the others share, I have tipped a good entertainer up to 10k because she was a good healer and had funny jokes to tell while I was waiting, very cool and was worth every cred. I applaud the non afk entertainers because, well they are entertaining, keep up the good work

The only skills I have to speak of are entertainment ones,.I am novice Musician now.

I feel so bad when I see newbie ents coming in and can't do anything becuase some Afk'er, with higher skill, is there in the middle of the floor. Can't grp , or talk , and most people automatically listen to the higher titled one, not realizing they are afk and then say oh well and keep listening.

To me, Afkmacro enting is just another passive form of grief.

Put a pop up window every half hour-hour or so. I'm so willing to click accept every so often to stop this.

Maybe without the grief, more solid Ents will emerge and take the chance to goto Lok or whatever without fear of some Bot macroing away.

Right now, there are 3,792 entertainers inthe Theed cantina.

Know how many there are on all of the planet Dathomir? How about Lok? Endor?

Across those planets on all servers, I would guess the number is less than 7.

When you start hauling your precious little hotpants and slitherhornsout to those planets, I'll agree with you.

As I said earlier, I will NOT travel to a place like Dathomir not knowing where to go, because I've never been there, I am NOT going to travel to such a dangerous planet without knowing which outpost to go to. You need my services call me, I'm not going to wander about those dangerous planets without knowing where I'm needed without any combat skills, my character is a entertainer not a combattant.

I've been to Lok, Endor, Dantooine, and Dathomir.

I did alright on Dathomir. You know how much money I made on Lok, Endor, and Dantooine? None, none, and 1k. The only reason I made money on Dathomir is that ONE person gave me a 20k tip. If I removed that tip from the equation as an abberation and subtracted the cost of a round-trip ticket from Talus to Dathomir, my earnings from Dathomir were no more and quite probably less than I would have earned in a similar four-hour session at home.

Maybe, Sigrun, we'd "haul our precious little hotpants" out to the adventure planets if you and your buddies would open your **edit** wallets and make it worth our while. We're not your servants and we're not social workers. We're service providers who go where we get the most profit and the most job satisfaction. We KNOW how much a single mission pays on an adventure planet. I don't go to Lok so I can sit in the cantina and watch some master pistoleer pull out a slitherhorn and play starwars1 for his buddies because they're too **edit** cheap to pay me to heal them better and faster.

Quite frankly, you can take your attitude and shove it up your sarlacc pit. Tell yourhunting buddies to start PAYING the entertainers and pay them well. Maybe then you'll see some of us showing up on your precious adventure planets.
