What do the titles do? Do they show up anywhere? Do they have permissions associated with them. Is it just something nifty for when someone looks at the guild roster at the guild mgmt terminal?

Basically, just something nifty to look at. The only places it can be seen are on the guild management terminal, when you do Ctrl-C, or when you use target someone and use /guildstatus, although I don't think I've ever used that command.

Cancelled 7/27/05 - I joined to play Star Wars, not Jedi-BH Wars. You've ignored/gutted/abused just about every other profession in the game, while spending most of your time working on Jedi and BH as they related to Jedi. I was disappointed to see that your guild title isn't added to your titles on the ctrl-p. That way your guild members cant see what you are "in the field", so to speak. No, you must go into the guild hall to see the titles! Not very useful, if you ask me.

Also, I was disappointed to see that you cannot use official titles - we wanted our leader to be called "Captain", but could not - probably because it's a military rank? But we are pirates and need a captain...

Though i would like to see that as well - i have for the mean time added my members to my Friends list along with their title in the Comment Box.

just use Cpt. instead

This annoyed the hell out of me too (the filters that is), but I found a workable solution.I as the guildleader is supposed to have the title "Commander", but since that's not allowed (just like everyone else that actualy sounds good), I've put it up as "C o m m a n d e r", which admitedly looks kind of funky, but atleast it reads right, and it works

I do the same for other titles which aren't allowed (which - again - is pretty much everything that sounds reasonable as a rank or title in a structural hierarchy).

We've managed to find a ranking system that is allowed, and while the titles may not be the best, they're certainly suitable.
