Now as much as i would like to harvest some 993 OQ, 1000PE, 1000FL meat. I don't think it's going to happen.

And this is the reason why i say, the buffs don't hurt ressource gatherers or crafters too much. Great ressources will still be great ressources and lousy ressources will still be junk. I percentual increase of nothing still is nothing.

The only part where crafters are hit bad are their currently already stored products. If you have 1000 of highest quality pies in your factory, they will only be close to perfect when the buffs work. Any crafter thus is well advised to at the moment don't make big factory runs and sell what they currently have. As soon as the buffs arrive, use the new-found improvement to produce wares which are better than what you ever created before.

As any crafter can get these buffs, the playing field still is level, nobody gains a massive advantage over the other and ressource quality still matters.

That wasnt really the issue in this thread. The issue was that a 10% buff would make some crafters unable to ever evolve and improve their goods again, and remove the challenge of crafting. Now with only the 2% buff, 4 of my 12 subcomponents are not capped. Thats right 8 of 12I get 100%+ on crafting now (I've made anExcelresource spreadsheet for all ws stuff, I know its a bit sad but it works). While I will live with it for a while, it does ruin alot of the fun of finding new resources.

I just dont think they apply to all crafters play styles is all.

Is it really that difficult for you to imagine that someone could have a different opinion then you?

Calm down guys.

Esharra, the Dancer correspondent, just reported that the buff has been reduced to 1-2% (depending on whether it's elite or base prof you are talking about). So you can all stop foaming at the mouth now, and burning the devs in effigee.

this is good news. still a horrible idea, but at least they caught most of it in time. we did not need another uber one-day crafting frenzy like before.

Well then, why don't you just delete all your hoarded uberific resources and start collecting them again?

Boom! instant challenge.

*rolleyes*

The challenge is to improve not to start from scratch - people who have put months or even years in their profession should have something to show for it.. shouldn't they?

And anyway If I was to delete all my resources I could guarantee thatif the10% buff had gone live I could have gone out with ease and bought a load more that would cap me as could most other WS.

If you were a WS crafting post-CU you would understand. If other professions want it then cool, good for them, let them have it. The WS community have made it clear that they don't and they have stated their many reasons for it very clearly. Why do people insist on speaking for us? And telling us we are wrong?

How about we just completely remove the idea of having entertainers provide a service to other players and give us our own separate content that allows us to heal and enhance NPC's and get paid in credits and loot by doing our own missions and quests? If I never hear the words resource quality buff again it will be too soon. It's been on TC how long and people still can't agree on a reasonable number. If by some miracle the debate is ever settled then we'll get to start all over with the "I can't find an entertainer" and "I don't want to have to travel to 10 cantinas before I can start crafting" arguments... oh wait those are already starting too. I am sick to death of arguing over buffs, enhancements, AFKers, etc... You can't even ask a simple question about this stuff any more without someone completely freaking out and insulting you or claiming you're trying to ruin their game. I chose this profession because I wanted to help other people. Now I find myself hoping that each and every crafter on my server is in a guild with a buff alt that they all have the password for so that I never have to hear the words "I'd like a resource quality buff."

Oh lordy lordy - seems as though some folks need a little rest.

Pop into a cantina and have a chat with a dancer or musician - they will calm you down.

Those of you who are concerned (either way) about the resource buffs I hope have posted these in the appropriate place? I sadly have only been on the test server actually testing the distribution of the buffs and providing feedback from this testing.

I like the idea of a resource buff as too many new players are excluded from the market due to the way resources spawn and the fact that people only want to buy "perfect" items. Sure the prices of these will drop but is that a major problem - folk will still make a profit (just a smaller one).
