Except for times when I used the stairs in my choreography (some of those leaps look really great coming off the stairs into the main room). I have always danced off to the side. Otherwise you tend to get people sitting/standing practically on top of you while you are trying to dance. The other expectionis if I am part of a dance formation that takes up most of the floor. A few weeks ago we formed a sort of triangle and took up most of the space directly in front of the stairs.
I'd like to ask fellow entertainers how they handle space in the Outpost Cantinas. They are so small and crowded with furniture that essentially the only clear spot is right beside the microphone. I have tried standing along the opposite wall but then I get people standing on my feet facing the entertainers who are by the microphone. Any suggestions?

I usually use a dance like Poplock or Popular2 just behind the microphone. Of course I sing ocasinally there as well, so it's a natural position for me.

I occassionally make announcements using the microphone.... "X needs healing is there a doctor in the outpost" "Please offer your congratulations to X for just learning X entertaining skill" that sort of thing.. But yes being able to do more than crash through objects in the cantinas would indeed be nice

Alright, but if you start shouting "Do we serve water in this bar?" I'm outta here.

I usually play in one of the little side rooms.
I hate people that dance and play in the foyer.

Why do we entertain the door?
That's as far as Joe Combat, our patron, will come. The cantinas really aren't designed for entertainers they are designed on the mos eisley cantina scene in episode 4. A scene without dancers of any kind and a scene where the musicians had a special musicians box along the wall that does not exist in the game.
The theaters ARE designed for entertainers. The have trainers inside, they have a stage with seating facing the stage BUT Joe Combat, our patron, will not come inside because it takes longer to enter the structure.
So basically in answer to your question... We entertain the door because that's the way our customers expect it. If you aren't there they'll put their own entertainer (bot) in that spot.

Last night we all moved from our usually place in that area that's become accepted as the "dance floor" to the room with the door. This put us inthe only place where cantina visitors would see us before the buff bot that sits 23/7 just above the stairs.
