"I am against petitions of all kinds, they are a pointless waist of time. No petition have never accomplished anything, and the mere idea that SOE would read this board much less do something about is bogus.
It does not matter that I agree that buffbots should be removed from the game one way or another. There is only one way to change SOE's mind about anything... complain all the time, and on as many different boards as possible.
This will accomplish nothing other then make putting us down over that SOE does nothing about our problems. "




Tarnak, i agree with youabout the petetions, but only as far as people just writing down /sign, or /agree and leaving it at that, but now they wouldnt be such a waste of time if somebody posted something constructive, as per the reason for signing the petetion, then the devs may actually take a look, because it has constructive posting, and shows the player based support for the idea.

Well, I'd rather do something than do nothing . . . . (not that I'm inferring that you are doing nothing, Tarmak, so please don't take it that way.)

Personally, I don't think we should need to have buffbots defined as griefing. It clearly alreadyIS griefing. The problem is that the CSRs don't interpret the rules that way.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.

I think it is the "Longterm AFK Macro Entertainers" that should be specifically defined as griefing. But localizing it to just buffbots is a good start, and I could settle for it. If buffbots were finally labelled as griefers, something I have been pushing for since I reactived my account a few weeks ago, I would cancel my cancellation of my account.
