Senora, come to Kettemoor. My first master musician was on Starsider and the buffbot thing got so bad I was ready to quit too. I started over again on Kettemoor and although there are some buffbots, (I don't think you can get away from them anywhere), its not nearly as bad and you can avoid them entirely. Kette has a supportive community where many people look down on buffbots and will look for a live entertainer.
I even started an Entertainers PA and it has done wonderfully. I don't know how bad it is on your server but I do know some are way worst then others. Don't quit, you can still have fun on a different server as an entertainer. I know this as a fact. Entertainers United is for the benefit of the arts and willhelp you anyway we can.
