I wasn't saying that entertainers should be bards . . . I was only commenting that when they changed doc to only get XP in combat, they also gave them the ability to be in combat by granting them CLs So with the loss of XP in med centers . . . they gained the ability to be involved with higher end content (namely combat and the dangerous places of the galaxy).
Had no idea about theproblem withDOTs that docs heal . . . I'm a TKM so I rarely need to be cured of anything. But I do remember the old times before I was TKM when docs would congregate around the med centers . . . even the masters who were there if anything, just there to trains others. miss those old days
We were already able to do that before the CU (Swords/Doc was great). Doctors had 3 types of playstyles: crafting, social (healing/buffing/curing in starports) and combat (healing during combat and fighting with the addition of another profession). Now we only have combat. This change to combat is great for those whose main focus was combat. Crafters got screwed as well as socializers. Everyone didnt want this change. And the change wasnt from XP in the med center it was from any XP outside of combat. The ONLY way to gain xp is heal someone one from your group while in combat. No XP for healing wounds, no xp for healing someone who's poisoned (not like theres any), not even for healing your group members after you guys have destroyed a lair.Rezzing is the only thing that gives us XP outside of combat. Just trying to point out shifting a profession towards combat COMPLETELY changes the playstyle.
