"I would *love* to have more exotic flourishs but it's not as bad as you make it out."

Yes, it IS as bad as she makes it out. You've provided a temporary solution (thanks for that, I am definately going to give it a try) but it's absolutely ludicrous that the highest four dances granted have only two flourishes each, and a fall animation. Thanks so much devs for wasting time in the mo cap studio and programming time on making sure master dancers can have a fall animation for their most advanced dances!

Adara is right. Musicians get Nalargon and a cool new song when they reach master. We don't even get one *complete* dance. And according to the little post its I have on the monitor which describes the flourishes not a single one of the 'dance2's that we get have a full eight flourishes.

Basic 2: 6 flourishes

Poplock 2: 4

Lyrical: 4

Rhythmic 2: 4

Exotic: 2

Formal: 3

(I never made a note for footloose because I threw my shoulder out the last time I danced it )

Could you imagine if SW1 only had 2 flourishes? *shudder*

I agree. I was disappointed to get to Dance IV and find that Exotic1 is useless and awkward and Exotic 2 has only two unique looking flourishes. Because of this I haven't bothered to pay out my credits to get Master Dancer. I understand Exotic 3 and 4 have other flourishes but it's just not worth bothering with right now. Add to that, the 'default' animations for Lyrical look horrible and awkward when viewed by other players, and I can only assume Lyrical2 will be the same way. Why bother?

I'll get Master once they fix up the class.

What I don't understand is (in addition to the points made above) why you get exotic one and two at the same time.

The more I look at it, the more the whole progression of dances toward master just seems screwy somehow. There should be enough dances that you get two new ones per "level" increase, which would give at least a little variety to what you can do as a dancer leveling up. It takes a hell of a long time to get to master (especially if you don't afk macro all night *winks*), and would be nice to see more of a reward for each accomplishment.

(Yes, this is from someone who is stuck in the all too painful 'poplock2' level, btw. )

I tried the suggestion made by Hawaii (thank you again btw, don't take this as a diss!) after making master last night. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get a smooth transition between exotic2-3 and exotic 4 as the flos for 2-3 start with arms low, and 4 has the arms above the head. Any suggestions? Did I miss a good transition point in the base dances or is this just something you try cover with a smoke bomb? It *was* pretty late for me when I was trying it. Seems to be a very imperfect solution at best.

I tried exotic 1 again last night, and it seems to me that the basic step has you looking like you've forgotten what you're doing at one point. That, coupled with the fact that there is a fall animation for exotic, makes me wonder why they felt the need to make very advanced dancers look like clumsy scatterbrains.

Lenaa, I used to hate poplock. Poplock2 is a whole lot better-believe it or not, audiences seem to really like that dance. I had a lot more fun with it once I just decided to embrace it-get yourself a 'funky' outfit to dance in and have some fun! (I've been wearing pantaloons/lined shorts, sandals and a sports wrap. You can substitute the wrap for a light or small bustier, or get yourself an outfit that looks like jeans, casual shoes and a formfitting undershirt/muscle shirt type thing. Some of the little tops from the master tailor line would also look great IMO. I just wish I could wear a backwards baseball cap too! )

I too am really getting bored with the exotic dance line becuase of the lack of versitility. I have even been using lyrical2 no matter what the look to others is. I have been using the /changedance since I got master. I still love to dance on a nightly basis, but come on Devs give us something to work with!!! 4 exotics dances and 6 flourishes??? Now I ask myself again what did I get when I became a Master Dancer besides the title?

I kicked my A$$ for 9 days straight sitting at the keyboard (no afk dancing at all)dancing to get master, thinking I was getting something really cool....now I wonder what it was. Sad. No wonder so many of the original dancers have given up the skill for combat skills.

That's the thing... I am able to get the title 'Master Dancer' ... but why?

I worked in a place that was laggy and crowded on a planet I didn't like to earn the XP for it (Mos Eisley), only to find that my most versitile dances were Popular2 and a pastiche of Lyrical and Formal. The novelty of Exotic2 was nice for the first day but it didn't go with any of the music the musicians could play and with only two unique flourishes, it got boring quickly. Without a need to earn dancer XP anymore I rarely use this dance.

When they add some love for Master Dancer, I will go claim the title quite happily. Heck, they need to plump up the Dancer class in general. I love it but I'm taking a long break from it until they actually finish coding the class for us.

If a purpose is to 'entertain' how can a master entertain with two moves, while they are nice looking, I find it much more 'entertaining' to watch a lower lvl dancer perform as there is variety not...two moves. So I agree, it would be nice to see some new moves.

I can't believe dancers don't complain about the fact that there is virtually no difference between Knowledge IV and Master Dancer. I seriously can't tell the difference from the pre-master exotic dances and the master level ones... what is the point of wasting all those skill points??
