Thread: Survey: Why do You Bot?
I could never find a music or dancer to buff me.
myself
master dancer master music master ent +3 to music and +3 to dance
bought
theed, naboo 8 days
only 10 minute buffs, 30 sec buffs are an exploit
depending on where I'm at 50k to 100k a day.
Yavin4 and Endor but now my player city ( I have enough money)
when I wake up, when I go to sleep
nope secondary
I'm almost always playing my main but sometimes play other games instead.
bases, houses, harversters, nothing.
I don't type on my main so this question is hard to answer cause our guild uses voice programs. If you mean when my main is not running and I have no other games running and I'm like watching tv while dancing maybe saying hey or something then about an hour a day.
when I stopped buffing on yavin and endor I got a bunch of tells and e-mails asking when I would be back. Never had anyone complain about my service. And the tips say that no one minds.
I would find and new way to afk it, if I can't then I would make her a doctor.
yea the planets with hard stuff to fight never have anyone buffingmusic, dancer, or doctor on them. And ent buffs should last 3 hours.

The survey is "Why do you bot?" At least that's what the title is. Some (Most?) of these questions have nothing to do with it.
Why we bot?To cure wounds and fatigue and give enhancements.
Perhaps she could rename the thread, "Survey about buff bots." Then, perhaps you would feel justified answering all of the questions.
/sarcasm off
I consider this a useful response to my data collection, and its my survey dears.

This is a pseudo-scientific attempt to understand the unattended buffbot phenomenon. Please, be truthful and to others who do not like buffbots, please refrain your ire. Basically, I want to know the answers to the following questions:

As a way to cure battle fatigue and apply enhancements for free for my primary characters and my friends.
Thank you for your time!
as a sidenote, if I'm doing the buffbot, and a live Master Musician comes into the cantina and starts buffing, I try to run my buff bot with only the AFK message reply with instructions for getting a buff, instead of spamming Spatial with buffbot messages. This helps with /tells from people around the area who are looking for buffs, but keeps me from pulling away business from someone who is actually socializing. This is a personal choice, maybe i'm just a very considerate person. I encourage everyone to follow this policy, but to each his/her own i suppose.
If i were to ever sense hostility regarding the fact that I'm doing the buffbot, i'd take my MM tag off as well as not spamming Spatial, and just leave my AFK message on. If they keep complaining then there's no pleasing everyone.
I desperately await the day we get Auto-reply to /tells - I'm embarrassed as a MM to put on my AFK tag, but it's a necessary evil sometimes. How hard would it be to add that feature? it's just like AFK but with no stupid big ol' AFK hanging over your head. LOTS of professions need this functionality - when you get elite, the /tells can get overwhelming and impossible to keep track of, even when all you want to say is "email me your questions/orders" - so you go AFK.
ok not gonna go through all the list but, i have 2 accounts, one is master artisan/tailor/musician, other is master smuggler/tka/pistoleer. i regulary play both depending on what i want to do at the time, some days i feel like just sitting around in our citys cantina, (its always packed, we have over a hundred members) and chat, play music, and make cloths for the guild and other times i feel like fighting, some times ill leave my musician playing in the cantina and someone who is leader and is there will invite members into the group to get the group buff, i run no special advertised buff bot macro or anything, i just play a normal macro so if they want the buff they sit there for 10 min and chat and socialize with others in the guild while getting the buff. I never leave my musician on afk buffing anywhere but in our citys cantina and that is usually only when im out fighting with my other one or busy doing stuff around the house. for myself also i never charge for buffs, most of my guild would rather come to hang out in our cantina then deal with all the afkers in coronet anyways. I could care less about the credits you can make, if i need something my guild will help me out and i help them out with free buffs and clothing. If i need to make credits ill use my fighter and run missions.
