  • Vasarian Brandy, Mind/Focus/Willpower Boost

Equipment(2 items):

  • ENT Droid, MSE Adv (1 Ent Module+ 1 Storage)

  • Swoop

Regarding the foods:

The only foods on your list that I have ever used for entertaining is the Accarragm. The T'ssolok is completely useless... but especially for a newbie entertainer. With wound healing boosted in the last publish, the two wound healing boosting items would also not be all that much use. Vasarian Brandy is not needed for an entertainer.

As for the Equipment:

A newbie Entertainer would not be able to use the effects on the droiduntil they made Novice Dancer or Musician. As someone else suggested, a 10 item storage mouse would be great though... and Swoops are always appreciated.

There are some good ideas in this thread.

I think that for the clothing, there is a better way to do it, that allows for some player choice. Work out a deal beforehand with a tailor to work with you on this. Craft a bone armorsegment or something, but name the seg "12 item Clothing Voucher: (tailor name)". Explain that it can be redeemed with that tailor for 12 clothing items of their choice for some starting outfits, and once the tailor retrievesthe segment, can bring it back to you with the bill.

That way players get to pick and choose what kinds of things they'd like to wear, to match the styles and colors that they'd like. Gender and species issues for clothing are addressed at the same time, and that tailor gets to meet and work with a young impressionable entertainer, who may return for more business later.

Everyone, thanks for the wonderful advice.

These kits are to be for both noobies and the more experienced Entertainers to help them out. I want to make them quite nice so that they are really worth something to the Ents. When I get the basic ingredient list, I want to make each of thepiecesup in batches of 25 (one fullfactory crate), and I'll assemble them. I'd like to give 1 or 2 away each day or so.

I like the idea of having some of the advanced stuff, like the 'exquisite dancers leotards' mentioned byEaca included on occassion. Since they are more expensive, I'll give those away on a slower basis, but I love the idea of having good stuff!

Xyrdre:

The idea of the redeemable "12 item Clothing Voucher: (tailor name)" is a great idea. That way I can give everyone what they like for clothes, and get the males/females/aliens all at once. I'd still ike to include some clothing goodies in the box too though. Maybe some of both would work.

Echinacea:

I want to not only give them some goodies, but help to make them aware that there are chef things out there that will help them out. Soa crate of Accarragm and maybe a holomail describing the other Ent foods would be nice.

The storage MSE droid seems to be an idea that everyone likes, so that's what I'll do.

A Swoop (or at least a Speeder Bike, but I favor a Swoop...heh) along with a 'Vehicle Customization kit is a great idea!

Fire works is a neat new idea! I didn't know that Ents could use them. Which ones do you suggest?

I've never heard of the 'creature habitat' before (either Butterflies or Glowzees). What are they and where do I get them. Another great idea

Including some few starter pieces of clothes with Bonuses is an absoultely wonderful idea! I'm guessing that the striped slacks and hotpants are gender neutral, so they make a great idea! What are 'Enhanced Myoflex tissued Synthetic Cloth panels', and where can I get them. I'll include a tokenredeamable for more (regular) clothes to fill out the outfits to make everyone happy.

Eaca:

I'll have to get a tailor to check out the cargo pockets as containers. I've used them for stuff before, but I don't know if they can be re-named like the looted ones can be re-named.

'If you want to get really generous', actually I do . You advise to 'get some of the cloths made with entertainer tissues.' That's a great idea, what are theyand where do I get them. I'm a scout so I can look foir eggs as well as buy them, but it's great to know that eggs are even needed. Thanks for the info!

You say that I can get the(female) ents 'exquisite dancers leotards'. sounds great! I'll do that, but on a reduced basis. So that's what the 'crystaline clothing treatments' (CCT) are for! I've got those before and never knew what they were for, even our Master Tailor dosen't know that, so I'll pass it along, thanks. You said that the CCT should be of the same serial number, so how do I check that?

Cendatinea:

You seem to like the foods, that's great. I'm thinking about a crate of Accarragm, as it's pretty universal. Also I'll make up a holo-mail describing the other chef goodies for the Ents. What do you think about a redeamable token for some Chef stuff like the clothes?

The Storage MSE droid seems to be the best choice, I mean, who dosen't need some extra storage.

A few pieces of enhanced clothing and a token seems to be the best route for the clothes.

Psikobunny:

Thanks for the advice on the entertainment modules, I didn't know that an Ent needed to be higher up to use them. So I'm favoring the MSE storage droid now.

Again, thanks for all of the wonderful advice! These are all great ideas! If anyone wants to contribute more, I'm listening.

Based on the great advice that I'm getting, here's my revised idea for an Entertainer Kit to give away. What does everyone think? How about some more great ideas!

Revised Entertainer Kit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a Cargo Pocket named 'Entertainer Kit'

  • Contents(20 items): 1 each of the listed items...

Foods(2 items):

  • Accarragm, Action/Quickness/Stamina Boost (crate of 5 items)

  • Token redeamable at a chef for some more goodies (how about a crate of something?)

Equipment(9 items):

  • ENT Droid, MSE (1 Storage Module)

  • Swoop

  • Vehicle Customization Kit

  • Fire works (5?)

  • Creature Habitat (either Butterflies or Glowzees)

Clothing(3-4 items):

  • Striped Slacks (+25 to Wound Healing, Music & Dance)

  • Hotpants (+25 to Wound Healing, Music & Dance)

  • Token for a dozen pieces of clothing from a Tailor (how about a dozen pieces?)

**on the odd occasion, an Exquisite Dancers Leotard

Also:

  • some holomails with entertainment tips (suggestions about the content of theseplease)

  • a nice cash tip to help them out (I'm thinking about 50K)

>> I still have some space for some more stuff, any suggestions?

Cargo pockets used to not be containers, I'm basing this off an observation made erm... about a year and 4 months ago LOL, they may have fixed them since then, I really don't know, I just know it's more common to find backpacks.

Entertainer tissues are just like any other clothing enhancment tissue like melee defense and injury and wound treatment tissues for doctors. Bioengineers make the tissues then tailors incorporate them into cloths. Any established tailor will likely know a BE and will be able to make you the tissues if you can get them the eggs, which are the hard part. The tissues require I think 2 other ingredients, but those are much easier to come by, so you shouldn't have to worry about those. It takes 30 eggs to make one tissue I believe.

The CCT doesn't NEED to be the same serial, however if you get a large batch that are the same serial, your tailor can do a factory run of them, saving on the schematic uses, because the schematic for them is a limited use reward item from the Jabba theme park. They're just like krayt tissues, geo cubes, janta bloods, or any other loot component that drops in groups. If you loot it off the same MOB, they will all have the same serial #. If you have a bunch sitting around, just examine them to see which are same serial'd. Normally the game sorts them in a pack by serial number making this easier, but occasionally it mixes a few around...

As far as the droid goes, might I suggest an advanced MSE with a medical module in it? It's not uncommon to find entertainers with a bit of medic as well... Maybe give them a 5 count crate of some nice stim B's to help them heal themselves and others, and maybe some health and action wound packs. If you do go the med module or ent module route don't forget to throw in a crate of droid batteries as well, as the droids need them to function.

Ooh, sweet idea there. Makeover and/or holoemote setup? How could any self-respecting entertainer pass that up?

Everyone can use fireworks, and Entertainers are actually better at it than other players

Wish I'd thought of that idea, good oneTarot /hi5

Well here's my neat contribution: PETS! This may be more work than you're willing to do, but a LOT of entertainers love having a little cuddly friend. They don't need any sort of stats, they're just for looks, so its pretty easy for a BE to make them. Popular choices are Squalls (bunnies) and Jax (kitties). Maybe name them something like "You'llneed a creature handler to train me, but only YOU can love me!" You could also give away pets that could be trained as mounts, but those might need to be of sterner stuff.

How about a sword and metal pole for dancing. Someone gave me a pole when i started and had no idea how different the dances looked with different weapons to hold!

Yeah, that gift voucher idea is great! You should be sure to note the serial number of any of those that you hand out so as to prevent anyone from making one themselves as counterfeit, etc.... not as much an issue if you actually make the voucher items yourself, but I just wanted to bring that up. : )

It would really be nice if writeable-datapads or some type of real voucher were in the game... for now, we are forced to use other items like armor segments, etc. lol

Everyone has listed alot of great stuff already, but I wanted to take a chance to insert a very usefull website for all things Entertainer:

swgentertainer.com

The site can be a little tricky to navigate if one is not familiar with the concept of a WiKi, so I went through and checked some of the more pertinent web pages to this discussion:

(some Entertainers might appreciate an instrument as a gift, although Entertainers themselves are able to craft them themselves - maybe a 1k stack of soft wood, aluminum and/ orsteel {which is used to craft instruments}?! )

Also, since clothing vouchers have been mentioned, I think for new Entertainers, an ID voucher for a Master ID session would be pretty cool... it would not be as valuable to older Entertainers since they would be more likely to have advanced ID skills and/or know advanced IDs...

I'm really happy about the recent few people coming in here asking about what kinds of things would Entertainers like as gifts! It's very uplifting.

Oh, bother. I made fireworks by the crateload once with my Artisan alt. I forget now which ones I thought were coolest. Some of them are duplicate-seeming effects. I'll try to remember to mess with them again and describe the effects.

Creature Habitats are made by Artisans with only one or two boxes in the Engineering line out of a little metal and a little chemical, plus a Live Sample that you can sometimes get from using the radial menu on a creature lair and doing Search. Sometimes you get eggs, sometimes you get samples of small flying critters (bats, bees, flies, moths...eww! but the butterflies and glowzees are cute!)It's kind of like the pre-cursor to holoemotes. If you search lairs for eggs to get a Bio-Engineer to make the Enhanced Myoflex tissue for a tailor to add to the cloth they can make clothes with, you'd come up with some of the creature samples, too.

Enhanced Myoflex is the tissue that bio-engineers make that adds to Wound Healing (Music) and Wound Healing (Dance). Really well-made tissue can get up to +17 or +18, but truthfully +13 is fine, if you're going to add it to clothing that can be maxxed out. That part getsa little complex unless you're a tailor or BE yourself. (I was a bio-engineer once upon a time.) If you could hand a BE lots of eggs of the same type, as well as scaley hide, wood and some kind of meat, all with good overall quality, and the meat and eggs with decent potential energy and flavor, you could probably get some good tissue for a tailor to add to clothing.

Hotpants and striped slacks are, indeed, gender neutral. And I don't know about anyone else, but I can't stand wearing skirts while I play or dance, usually. Flourishes look dumb in them.

Another thought: scan the bazzar once in a while for Battle Fatigue Healing (Music) and Battle Fatigue Healing (Dance) CAs. You probably won't ever find more than +1's on the bazzar, but those would make nice little treats. Though, again, that sort of only applies to someone who's a Novice Musician or Dancer or higher. Until then, you don't have any quantifiable skill in Fatigue Healing to add a bonus to. Don't bother with the wound healing ones, you can get better bonuses from bio-engineered clothing.

Hi All:

I want to do something to help out the entertainers on my server. I want to make up some Entertainer kits to give away, here and there, to help our Dancers and Musicians out. Please have a look and give me some suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Here's my proposed kit:

-Entertainer Kit (a Cargo Pocket named Entertainer Kit')

  • Contents(20 items): 1 each of the listed items...

-Foods(5 items):

  • Carmelized Pkneb, wound healing boost (dancing)

  • Correlian Ale, wound healing boost (music)

  • T'ssolok, Entertainer Buff Time Reduction

  • Accarragm, Action/Quickness/Stamina Boost

  • Vasarian Brandy, Mind/Focus/Willpower Boost

Equipment(2 items):

  • ENT Droid, MSE Adv (1 Ent Module+ 1 Storage)

  • Swoop

Clothing (13 items in complimentary mix'n'match colors):

  • long formal jacket

  • Shortsleeve Shirt

  • Light Bustier

  • Small Bustier

  • Ribbed Pants Quilted pants

  • Noble Skirt It is wearable by both genders but clips badly when dancing. Refined skirt or thin pleated skirt is better. If you're doing a female-only pack, use the fash pleated skirt

  • Hot Pants

  • Luxurious Gown

  • Revealing Fleshwrap

  • Uniform Boots hide boots

  • Sandals

  • Long Uniform Gloves

  • Emerald Pendant

  • twi lekku wrap

  • dress slippers

For the boys:

  • Muscle tee

  • swoop helm

  • pilot jacket

  • quilted pants

  • hotpants

  • sandals

  • hide boots

  • thin pleated skirt

  • refined skirt or modest skirt

  • trim lined shirt

Also:

  • some holomails with entertainment tips (suggestions please)

  • a nice cash tip to help them out (50K?)
