Atlantiss! *hugglifies her badly*

Well, if you reread I am not suggesting to take away our professions. If something that players can do isn't a profession, it does not mean it doesn't exist. And I did NEVER suggest to take away entertainer, in contrary I suggested to make the Entertainer profession stronger.

Of course, Warryr has a point. If dancers do not exist as a profession, but only as Entertainers who share certain badges, it will way harder to demand modifications to our abilities afterwards.
But keep in mind that being a profession is not the only way to be. If you read what I wrote closely you'll see I never asked for the death of dancer or musician...

For Image Designer I see several options.

  1. First and probably worst: Do the same as with Dancers and Musicians as proposed above.

  2. Merge Image Designer with Bio-Engineer. Due to what Image Designers do, that is the most logical options.

  3. Merge Image Designer with Tailor. The two most creative professions and the two professions that care mostly about other people looks in one. This would be the most fun for both tailors and Image Designers.

(ID passing through)

1. This option I just don't understand enough about to comment. It's not like we have 'lower versions' of some haircuts that grow into longer haircuts later on.

2. ID's do not make tissues and food additives. ID's make things purdy. Or ugly, depending on the customer. Being able to ID pets would be nice, but BE's do a lot more than make pets, and I remember the many many pets I messed up trying to assemble one correctly. There's a reason I'm not a BE any more.

3. There's also a reason I'm not a Tailor any more, and why many ID's are happy to be ID's -- no crafting. Honestly, some people love love love ID/Tailor, and I can understand the appeal. I'm not bashing that at all, and someday I may give that combo a shot. Tailor was the first thing in this game I tried to be, and the special orders and "no, can you make these highly-costly-pants in a brown one shade darker?" custom fittings made me insane.

Well, as said before I don't know enough about IDs to really estimate what they want. So you may simply forget what I said about them.
With "do the same as with dancer/musician" I meant making your abilities accessible through quest.

From What I Heard, Profession Revamp To Entertainers And Other Profession Will Come After CU. The Question is "When". And GOOD GOD! Don't take away entertainer profession, It's One Of My Favorite Profession, I never have so much fun in it than all the others. I hate to see Madosa Die Because Of it.

I've been an ID in some fashion or another for some time now, besides a musician.. dancer and what have you,and while the changes you propose are perhaps interesting, I don't agree with them, and I'm not giving up on any of these entertainer professions just yet. Taking it away is not the answer. Nice to see people thinking of ideas though, even ones I don't agree with.
